Some interesting ideas fromabout how to speed up the last few minutes of close games. I didn't know FIBA already had rules in place specifically designed for this purpose. Henry's right. The NBA needs to seriously consider implementing FIBA's rules. 15 minutes of real time to play 2 minutes of basketball is ridiculous.

Here's a HoopIdea: Crunch-time basketball is fantastically exciting -- the peak entertainment of the sport. But the ball is dead a lot. Play stops for: Timeouts, of which there are too many, and which are too long. The referee's whistles, many of which, in crunch time, are for fouls committed intentionally.
