There is one famous song about #Corfu, in which the singer states in a great enthusiasm that the greatest fish of all time can be found only at Benitses Village. And if you ask me, it might be one of the most suitable songs ever made about Corfu. And of course #Benitses Village is not just a sea-side village with three beaches. But has a lot more to offer depending on which time of the year you visit it. My first dash at Benitses was mid of May. The initial plan was to go somewhere, away from the town of Corfu, so that we get a chance to explore something more. We quickly put on our bathing suits, we took the bus, and in half an hour we were at Benitses.

“Just half an hour away from #Corfu Center, near a seaside village, I found a palace”, said my dad, and the next day we went all together at #Achillion. And I can guarantee, when he said “Palace” that’s exactly what he meant. There, is situated the palace of princess Sissi of Austria.

The decision to walk down the path of Porto Timoni was one the wisest I ever made. The
route was actually a magical journey to another era: back when the wild nature would show its dominance by creating the most amazing landscapes. #corfudiary #corfubeaches

#Corfu has probably one of the most interesting geographical diversities of #Greece. Hundreds of beaches with pebbles and golden sand, sheltered coves, caves and smaller islands make the most amazing landscapes you’ ve ever seen! The sandy beaches are my favourite place to relax and Corfu has managed to compensate me in the best way: the magical beach of Halikounas and Korission lake with an unforgettable scenery! #corfudiary

They say that in Corfu the chances of finding a family, a member of which is not a member in one of the corfiot philharmonic bands are from slim to none. In every family there is at least one person who either plays at least one musical instrument or sings at a local choir ! Besides the corfiot philharmonic bands it is also worth mentioning: the Symphony Orchestra of Corfu , Corfu’s Conservatories, the bands that the locals or the Ionian University of Music students have created, the teams of the Ionian University and of course the local singers that solely sing traditional cantatas.

Corfu Museum of Asian Arts is the only museum in Greece, which is dedicated to art and antiquities of Asia since 1928, the year of founding.

It is housed in the Palace of Saint Michael and Saint George on the Greek island of Corfu. The Palace is the largest and the most significant building of the English rule period (1814 – 1864) and one of the greatest monuments of neoclassical architecture in Greece.
