Hello everyone. In the last few weeks I've launched two FREE flash fiction competitions: 1. a 100-worder where the winners can win one or more of my (six) online creative writing courses; 2. challenge me to write a 500-word story (you provide the prompts) and you could win a 2000-word, 3000-word or 5000-word free edit on your writing! See www.morgenbailey.wordpress.com and click on the relevant competition heading.

Although Amazon won't let you list books for free, Smashwords will gladly - just do a search for free books and it brings up over 20,000 :) http://www.smashwords.com/books/category/1/newest/0/free/any

Question re. categories

I've tried to change one of my course's category but the category and sub-category options are shaded and the down / up arrows don't work. I queried this in the Udemy Studio Facebook page and was told that once a course is in a category that it can't be changed. Surely this can't be true. If so, it would just be ridiculous and mean that I have five creative writing courses stuck in Lifestyle / Arts & Crafts that no one seems to be finding (other than when two of them were free!). Grrr....

Hello everyone. I teach creative writing and my fourth course has just gone online (while I prepare more). I've put them all in the Lifestyle / Arts & Crafts section. Is that the most logical or is something like Personal Development better? It's a shame we can only have one category, unlike the likes of Amazon KDP where we can list our eBooks in different categories to capture more attention / sales. https://www.udemy.com/u/morgenbailey

Thank you for the invitation, Donalie. I'm on my ninth novel at the moment and most are crime, albeit not so much murder mystery but it's a genre I enjoy reading.

Thank you, Catherine. I've just finished the first draft of no.7 with just no.3 out as an eBook so plenty of WIPs. :)

It certainly is. I've just done my first Camp NaNoWriMo (50,000 words in a month), my sixth NaNoWriMo, so I have over 300,000 words because I was 'told' to. :)

Disappointing visit. Met a friend here at noon on Wednesday 25th March. We waited in the back bar for about ten minutes and rang the bell twice but no one seemed to be on duty although there was a couple behind us with drinks so someone had been. We could hear a party of adults and children in the other bar but there didn't appear to be anyone behind that bar either. The seating also looked very uncomfortable with plain wooden benches with no cushions so perhaps the lack of staff did us a favour. We went off to Shutlanger and had a lovely lunch at the beautifully refurbished Plough.
