REALLY excited about today's news. A Jisc agreement is meaningless to most people but means a lot to us - it is not that common for an organization like Kudos to be granted this kind of deal and will make it much easier for UK universities to sign up for our services. PLUS we have introduced new pricing to make Kudos for Institutions more affordable to institutions around the world, AND very proud to announce that London School of Economics has subscribed. :-D
For immediate release, September 8th, 2016 –– Kudos (www.growkudos.com), the award-winning service for maximizing the reach and impact of research publications, is pleased to announce that it is now partnered with Jisc Collections to provide a standard…

That wonderful moment when the most famous publication in the field gives you a glowing review. So proud of our team today!
"A place for your research story to live" - Kudos has been added to Nature's Toolbox, with a great summary of what we do and how it helps researchers, institutions, publishers, funders and more. The article closes by saying, if you've spent thousands of hours doing your research, shouldn't you spend at least 10-20 minutes "getting the message out"? http://bit.ly/knature

In (other) big news today: a research team from Nanyang Technological University analysed the data we built up in Kudos over our first two years, and found that using Kudos correlates to 23% higher publication downloads. This is an important finding not only for Kudos but also for every researcher trying to increase the visibility of their research. Exciting times in this context at least bit.ly/kudos23pc
An independent study has found that using Kudos to explain and share publications correlates to a 23% increase in downloads of the full text for those publications on the publisher website.

We seem broadly agreed that #scholcomms needs overhauling. How can we go beyond talking about this? My latest blog: bit.ly/cartskj16

What do researchers want from publishers? streamlined workflow, recognition, not to feel exploited. My new Scholarly Kitchen post tries to pivot the "what researchers should know about publishers" conversation based on some work I've been doing recently to explore researchers' needs. Feel free to add other things researchers want publishers to understand! http://bit.ly/tskcar0416
