Darn Athena, I apologize that service levels were clearly not at the level they should have been. I know it was a busy time and since then we have increased our staffing levels substantially. Although we would love to take advance reservations for the patio, over 7 years, with have found it works best to reserve inside tables to ensure you have a comfortable place to be in the event the Lido Deck is cold when you arrive. The staff member was correct in saying we don't reserve outside, but the odd time if a group comes down and is waiting for "the next available patio table", we have said we can call them if they wish to wander for a bit - I am guessing that's maybe what you witnessed. Regardless, we will re-establish a protocol to ensure those policies are clear for everyone, and really appreciate the feedback. Cheers, Steve.
