Woohoo! ActionBarSherlock update. That came quick.

We published Pay with Square tonight. I'm very proud of this app because we fully embraced the new Android Design guidelines. We use +ActionBarSherlock and make this look & feel like an Ice Cream Sandwich UI on any Android phone running 2.2 or later.

Going to start working on an land surveying application for Android devices soon. Probably going to focus on tablets considering how much data may need to be visible. Definitely has to be professional so it would actually be useful in the field.

This is definitely the best mobile design inspiration site I've come across so far.

Everyone must sign! This cannot be allowed to happen. No entity should ever be able to censor the internet, or we risk losing the openness that has made it what it is today.

Right now, the US Congress is debating a law that would give them the power to censor the world's internet -- creating a blacklist that targets YouTube, Wikileaks and even Avaaz! Now if we stand with ...

Yeah, the Protect IP Act could be circumvented that way. Or maybe a browser plugin could play the routing part of a DNS by converting banned domains to the appropriate IP address in the address bar before submitting. Even so, the Stop Online Piracy Act still makes unauthorized streaming of copyrighted content a felony, even if visitors are accessing a site by it's IP address. Can't get around that part.

Story
Introduction
I am a very motivated programming nerd and an unabashedly self-identified geek. I started programming as a hobby when I was a teenager and continue to relish the fact that I can enjoy "work."

In the interest of mental longevity, I do not limit myself to a subset of industry knowledge. I instead opt to continually expand my work and interests to cover new platforms and fields of study. I aim to establish a career that not only allows me to continue this practice, but encourages me to broaden my intellectual horizons.

In a twist of irony, even though I would be perfectly pleased to hack away for weeks on end, unintentionally neglecting any contact with the outside world, I am a very extroverted and easily approachable person.
Bragging rights
Played soccer since I was 4, read 300+ books and counting in my free-time, watched whole Battlestar Galactica series... thrice and a half
