Have you been in to see A hundred Years, A Hundred Chairs Masterworks from the Vitra Museum? It is an amazing look at the whimsy and the functional!

William Pachner, a native of Czechoslovakia, had a childhood characterized by tragedy. He lost 80 members of his family in the Holocaust. This fact shaped both his humanity and his approach to painting. This compelling exhibition is on view now at the Museum.

I really enjoyed the exhibit by Peter Max, 50 years of cosmic dreaming, at the Tampa Museum of Art. Peter Max is a very talented artist. On Friday's Tampa Museum of Arts has pay what you will and are open late which is nice. Unfortunately, the museum has a lot of wasted space and the actual viewing area of the art in the museum is really small. I don't think the normal $15 admission fee is worth it as you can breeze through this museum in 10-15min. Sono Cafe in the museum has really good wines and paninis. Tampa Museum of Art is also a great place for weddings and special events. The museum lights up with color changing LED's which look really cool at night.

Was very educational for the adults. Had good exhibits. Was very small and not a lot to offer though. Not fun for large groups of young kids. The tour was kind of dull.

The ancient pottery was outstanding. The museum is very overpriced for 1 floor of work. I was so excited to see the "arts district" of downtown Tampa only to discover it was 1 floor and a performing arts center next door. Just underwhelmed and the staff seemed offended by people's presence in general.

The museum is great, especially for students who can get in free. After you're done, there's a bunch of nearby stuff to do including walking along the river.

I went for the Peter Max exhibition. Wonderful aluminum covered building structure near the water. Friendly staff not as big as I thought it was but happy I went. Food and gift shop on site

A rather small but exquisite museum. Close to many Tampa attractions. Outside view is also great with the river and park. Free to USF students and parking is also easy.

This was a nice gallery and also had plenty of events for kids. I didn't eat at the restaurant inside. If you get bored you can always leave and walk the Riverwalk.

We had a great day. The staff went out of their way to make the facility accessible to our two year old granddaughter. She made a silk screen, got to dance, and viewed some fantastic art, all without worry of being too loud, or too excited. A great day, all in all.
