50microns vs low quality. I almost do not see the print lines. I think I'll stick with medium for now. Though that may change once I paint them.

I should have gone for a higher fill rate. I have a few holes on the upper surfaces.

I have been doing low quality with 15% fill with good enough for me results. Check your shell thickness settings in the slicer and make sure its at least 3 layers. On mine its under layer  settings and lets me set top solid layers (3), bottom solid layers (3), and perimeter shells (4)

Normally don't like cross posting..I posted this on the other m3d google+ community.  but as there are more in this group, figured I'd give it ago anyways.   I am hoping this will fix some of the bowing issues I have.  They have one for the micro :-)

if you have a bowing issue I don't know how a flexible plate can help you...

they have a plate for the micro.  I hope it will help with some of the bowing problems. Seems like a cheap thing to test out. At least I can stop using blue tape if this does work :-)

Has anyone printed openforge on the micro 3d printer?  I think the 2x2's will print fine, but anything bigger may have issues due to the size of the print bed.

looking at the build area it should be able to print all of it, as you basically get a  4.3"x4.4"x3" build area and the biggest standard tiles are 4X4X2

What are you guys using to cut your models down?  for example, I want to try and print the following:  http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:702826 but it is way to big.  I'd need to slice it up into quadrants.
1" Scale miniature stand for your D&D miniature figs. Fits standard 1" round miniature bases, and has room for 16 figs. The pillars on the corners also interlock into slots on the bottom of the floor so you can stack as many as you'd like to make a multi-level dungeon-style shelf! Great for storing and displaying your miniatures. -- Several resources I used in making this: Wall elements from "OpenForge Ruined Wall Tile" http://w...

I think I would load the stl and sliced it using some bool operations...

Here is a dugout I did a while back.  I included one in progress picture.  I saw something like this on a website sometime ago and liked the layout.  Sadly, I do not recall where. #bloodbowl  #dugout #hirstsarts

Each square is one inch. I'll put some minis in and post in a few.

Hey folks - Looking for a way to take a 10 minute video and speed it up so the whole thing fits in 2 mins.  Would be nice if most of the frames are present so it is smooth.  Ideas?

You could use ProDad Speedr, which is a stand alone program - it does a real nice smooth job. Other way to do it is to treat it like time lapse, but that won't be smooth . Your talking 15000 frames of video reduced to 3000 here.
Studio 17 does have  fast slow motion effects, but I don't know if it's as smooth as you want. Right click the video on the time lime and select "time" from there you will get an interface that will allow you to make adjustments.

Here is a low quality (the 1x1) next to a medium on the micro 3D. Just over 2 hours to print. With the latest software update they have 4 settings. The other 2 are high and expert. Expert is set to 50 microns. It would take over 6 hours to print a 1x1 at that setting. Though I am interest in seeing the output.

Cool! Thanks for the comparison.

And yeah, there's also the question of just how detailed your terrain needs to be. Having printed dozens of OpenForge pieces on Printrbots, quality does make a noticeable difference if your nose is touching the print, but how often will you be doing that?

Here is the output from the micro3d.  Medium quality. The 2x2 came out really good.  the 3x3 does have some warping, but lines up nicely with the 2x2.

Sanding the 3D printed plastics is really common for the finishing effect that it has on pieces. But if you print around .1mm layers, it usually doesn't need it too badly.

Hello - I am wondering if ya'll could help a little.  I have a nice little halfling paladin that is now 5th level.  We are playing Pathfinder (Reign of Winter) and I have acquired the services of a Giant Weasel.

I would like to make this my Divine Bond mount, but am unsure how to add it to pcgen.  I have created minor things in pcgen, but nothing like this.  Pointers and suggestions are welcome.
