Certainly my experience. One dose 10 mg methadone (slow) pre-cut works great as only opiate analgesic for major surgery, esp as part of multimodal. They gave 0.2 mg/kg “Intraoperative methadone administration reduced postoperative opioid requirements, decreased pain scores, and improved patient satisfaction with pain management.”
