Apple TV is worth it. Especially if you can find a first generation one.

"That's the problem with Romney's "joke," too. It falls into a long list of remarks that suggest an emotional myopia based on an extremely sheltered life experience. It comes across as gloating about the fact that, as a rich white man born into a wealthy and powerful family, Romney has rarely been subject to the kind of racist or sexist assumptions that clog the daily lives of millions of Americans."

In a word: excellent. My family has been coming to LBI for 70 years, and we almost never go out to eat. Now that I'm coming up to the shore house with my wife, I'm understanding why. Most places are overpriced for simply horrible food. Black Eyed Susans was a revelation (pardon the cliché). The decor was just what we were looking for. Upscale, but less country club, more farm-to-table. Very open and breezy. The staff was very attentive, knowing the menu cold without notes, with good recommendations. We started with the oysters and shrimp and grits. Both were wonderful -- the oysters were a little pricey (~$4/per), but were delicious (two types, one PEI, one west coast). We had the crab cakes and scallops for our entrees, both of which were very fresh. Had a good citrus zing for the crab cakes, mostly large lumps, and the scallops were seared very well, not rubbery at all. Finished with mint chocolate chip gelato (very good) and a peach tart w/ vanilla (very good, though the tart could have had more sugar/salt) Definitely try the iced tea, was a special brewed lemon verbena mint that was really refreshing. Good coffee too. This was the last night in town for us and we splurged a little, so it turned out pricey ($139 before tip), but ordering more judiciously could put it approaching half that. Only cash accepted, and the closest ATM is a block away, so be sure to get that before you come.
