Skellig Michael Eco Tour around both Islands

The eco tour departs in the afternoon at around 2:30pm depending on the sea conditions. The boat tour circles both Islands and you get right up close to Skellig Michael and the small Skelligs to see both the wildlife and the historical sites. This tour can get quite busy especially in the peak season so it is advisable to book at least a few days in advance. The trip costs €30 for adults and €25 for children. This tour does not land on the Island.

Skellig Michael Landing Tour
There is one trip per day for this tour departing at approximately 9:15am daily from Portmagee Marina if the sea conditions are suitable. Availability for this tour is very limited so you really need to book well in advance. Please use the date navigation buttons below to find an available date. This tour is not suitable for children under 12 years of age.

Brilliant! Great trip, kind skippers, very well organized and safe, life jackets provided to everyone and safety instructions given before leaving which is not soooo usual on Ireland's little boat trips as we have experienced else were. We were on great Skellig and it is spectacular, must view! On the way back the guys got us around great Skellig and then slowly around the smaller Skellig to admire the nature there. Maybe a little longer stay on Skellig Michael would have been optimal, but overall a great trip.

Our trip was amazing! About an hour for the ride out, and then we had 2.5 hours to walk up to the top and see the monastery, and the areas where parts of Star Wars was filmed. Boat ride back took us around Skellig Michael and also Little Skellig, and took about 1.5 hours. Highly recommended. If you don't have a reservation, just show up at 9AM and wait around to see if others don't show. That's how we got our three spots.

Hi Michael, Are you even a real person leaving this review? Please reply if so and let us know your grievance. I suspect this is not a genuine review and will not expect a response from you. Apparently Google's review system leaves a lot to be desired.

We had a great trip out to Skellig Michael. It was a bit foggy and choppy going out, but the boat ride was comfortable enough and safe. Typically you need to book months ahead to get a boat to Skellig Michael, but we called Casey's the afternoon before and were lucky enough that someone had just cancelled. There are no-shows every day, so if you are in the area and don't have reservations, show up at the pier early and you'll have a good chance of going! Also one of the most incredible places on earth, a must see if you are in Ireland.

Seemed a bit confusing on the docks, who goes on which boat with which sea captain. BUT our particular captain was a REAL irish sea captain. His dialect so thick, and his character, genuine, we loved it! Skellig Micheal was the HIGHLIGHT of our trip. Highly highly recommend going there. They give us overcoats and pants to keep us warm and dry, which were great. Would do it again.

Hi Shirley, The season starts in May this year. I am interested to know why you have left a two star review with no feedback as to why. Also completely out of season.
