The second item links to a very nice Pioneer Press story that talks about golf, the friendships that are out there and walking.
This really nice story comes from the St. Paul Pioneer Press. Four women in their 80s play golf on a regular basis at Stillwater Country Club. They don't gamble and they don't ride. They walk. ......

This will give you a little laugh on a Monday. That is unless you hate life, the Beasties or Grover.
This Sesame Street/Beastie Boys “Sure Shot” mashup does some very clever stuff with fast and slow framerates that makes the puppets appear to be perfect lipsynchers. It's virtuoso editing and a de...

Ronald, you need to fix that. I think it is the best show on TV. And since you work with teenagers, I'd be interested in your take on it. The early seasons are streaming on Netflix and I think you would like it.

Here's my latest golf blog post. It's about the club that has surprised me most this year and become a club that I have a lot of confidence in.
Surprise club of the year: TaylorMade R11 4 wood. July 23, 2011 Jeff Leave a comment Go to comments. Early this year I did a launch monitor fitting for a new driver and ended up with a TaylorMade R11....

Apparently it is easier to be a fan of the Timberwolves than a Vikings fan. Who knew?

Well, I think it's easier to expect negative results and appreciate rays of hope than it is to expect success and continually be met with failure.

Cool video here of the surprising architecture legacy of Buffalo, NY. As someone who lived there for about six months, I have a soft spot for the city.

Nice NYT story about a 5-year-old getting exposed to the realities of sports as a business when the Mets traded his favorite player.
Young Teddy, inconsolable upon learning that trading his favorite reliever made sense for his beloved Mets, offered to help by giving them $29.03.

Jeff Shelman's +1's are the things they like, agree with, or want to recommend.
I am a guy who likes to tinker with my equipment and these guys are great. Over the past few years, they have invested significantly in great fitting technology. The level of service and selection here is far superior to the big box golf stores. While I also like to support my golf club, I have great confidence in the clubs I get at 2nd Swing. The staffs at both locations are great, the fittings I have gotten from Scott and Aaron are top notch and I continue to be a loyal customer.
