It has been some time since WE Have Started our Blog.  We are in the process of a Little reshuffle at this Point.  Give us just a few more days and all will Be BETTER THAN BEFORE!

This may be simple to some, but I have ignored it too long.  I have a Business website/email account and profile that handles 99% of my Gmail.  Personal mail does not go her.  Late one night in efforts to hurry and finish updating the profile, in Google usual persistent method continued to present only version to question in order to close everything out!  You guessed it.  I ended up with TWO profiles from that point on.  I simply ignored it after trying with many failures to contact someone (found out their BUDGET must not be sufficient for this) and they rely on the general Public to resolve all issues for them.  CUTE!  I wanted to download Google Drive (had attempted and abandoned for the above reason before, but decided to try and see if I could find a way to push through and send message to SOMEONE for assistance.  You Guessed IT!  I now have Three!  I will NOT Check THREE Emails (Business Trouble), NOR Update THREE Profiles.  Do I have to close ALL THREE DOWN in order to stop the MADNESS!  I cannot believe a company of this magnitude would allow the General Public to cover its Backside in order to save money and that everyone still thinks they are so Wonderful!

They Have many Wonderful tools and opportunities to assist in my work load "IF" I were not bog down with such trivial matters that I cannot contact someone corporate to take care on at least within a WEEKS time.  Not asking for Miracles.

Originally this Blog started as a Path to Sale Fannie Mae Path Properties Short Sales and Distressed Real Estate Sales in Conjunction with my Friend Wes McKibbon.  It will continue unchanged along these lines and you can always look forward to hearing his words of wisdom and updates as to what is going on in the World of FHA, Government programs and Most of all Short Sales in General.

I would also like to encourage fellow Real Estate professionals to include other aspects of dealing with Real Estate within South West Louisiana as well. I feel it would be to the advantage of all interested parties in our Market to become more involved in discussing all types of properties and aspects of the Real Estate Market in our area on this venue.

I have noticed that our membership has significantly dropped.  I feel it is because we do not have a significant number of short sales nor interest in them to support a blog dedicated only to this aspect of the market.  If we infuse the site with all aspects of Market, we will have reason for everyone to visit; either to voice their opinions and share their listings or to search for listings within our area and seek our support or answers to a wider variety of questions.   Now questions or topics can be addressed to anything within SW Louisiana Real Estate Market or Lifestyle dealing with relocation into our Market.  Welcome and Please Come Share with us Your opinions and Listings. Please Do not forget the Short Sales when you have information on these or Listings.  Wes McKibbon will still be here to help us along our way to improve our skills so we do great jobs when they do come along.  Hope to hear from you soon.

Choose Your Deduction
One third of all U.S. households, 75% of households with more than $75,000 income and most homeowners itemize their deduction on their federal income tax returns. It makes sense because the interest paid on their mortgage and their property taxes probably exceeds the allowable standard deduction.

However, with interest rates as low as they have been in the last two years and the price of homes having come down considerably, it is possible that the standard deduction may be the better choice.

Each year, the taxpayer can compare the total of the itemized deductions to the standard deduction to select which method will result in the most benefits. The 2011 standard deduction is $11,600 for married couple filing jointly and $5,800 for single filers.

The Housing and Economic Recovery Act of 2008 allows homeowners to take the standard deduction and the lesser of their actual property taxes of $1,000 if filing their return married jointly. For more information, see Schedule L found on www.IRS.gov and consult your tax advisor.
