'Pink Saris' is the title of a documentary about a group of women in Northern India. On 24 November 2011, the film received the 'High Commendation' honor at the Asia Pacific Screen Awards (APSA) ceremony in Queensland, Australia. The 'Pink Gang' members are dressed in pink saris and fight for underprivileged people under the leadership of Sampat Pal (the "chef de gang en sari rose" such as it is posted on the gang's website gulabigang.org).
