It's a rainy day and I'm working from home. Naturally, my dog decides it's time to play with one of the blankets I put down to protect my furniture from wet paws.

Droughts are never a good thing, but this is actually pretty cool.

Another interesting note is that while there's few roads, Google has been there every year since 2009. So if you go to Google Maps, type "Malpaso Dam" (for whatever reason, Google doesn't have it down by its official name) and it'll put you at the reservoir.

You can then go street view and virtually walk up and down the huge bridge across the reservoir on 145D. (It's just south of where the map loads)

Here's a shortcut link to the bridge I'm referring to:  https://goo.gl/maps/rgPGrGcjk3m

Some sections only have certain years loaded, but if you keep clicking you can find spots that have views of all six years. (Click on the "Street View - Date" text to bring up the slider and then click the tiny magnifying glass in the right corner of the preview.) You can't see the church, but you can see just why this church has appeared.

The dramatic change in water levels is absolutely amazing and the views are spectacular.
