I just had the worst expereince ever at a restaurant in over 20 years! The owner obviously doesn't like women. I received a meal with mango in it which was hard, so hard it was too difficult to eat! I wanted to change the meal to another meal. The owner came out and bent over me 3" from my face and told me he wanted me to leave! Now and not ever return. I guess the rule at Indochine is not to talk about the bad food, or else! The waiter was very unskilled as well and lacked basic restaurant training. The second dish we had was equally as bad. Poor help, poor food = poor place!

Okay thai food. Wish the portions were larger. Amazing ambiance. I love the decorations.

This is hands down thee best dining experience that one can have in Tacoma. The food is excellent taste, quality, and presentation. They give their unique takes on various traditional items and their variations are superb. The only thing I wasn't blown away by was the drinks; however, they are decent and reasonably priced. This is my favorite restaurant in Tacoma. Finally a place that lives up to the reviews.

Finally, a restaurant that has good food, good decor and good service. I had the Walnut Prawns, and it was sooo good. WIll definitely be going back.

This was the worst experience I have had in a restaurant in years, if not ever. The kitchen made little effort and had zero quality control, allowing dishes to leave the kitchen with unripe and inedible ingredients and cooked with rancid oil. And the owner is a chauvinist who was physically intimidating and verbally abusive. I do not recommend anyone support this restaurant. We had been repeat customers for a while, and about 4 months ago we got a messed up to go order. We called and were told no big deal, we will have a credit in their computers and to come in whenever we were able and wanting. We live an hour away from Indochine and only go after my doctors appointments because i have been so ill that i do not get out very much. So when we asked for our credit at the end of yesterday's incredibly poor meal, the owner came over and essentially accused us of lying to get credit for a free meal. So follow the logic - he thinks that 4 months ago we called in and lied about missing and incomplete items in our order to set the stage for a free meal 4 months in the future?? I guess was came up with this little gig while i was hospitalized and fearing for my life, sure, i was plotting to scam a free meal while i was having tubes inserted in my chest and cameras shoved down my throat. That makes sense? The owner was physically aggressive, blowing a gasket that we politely sent back sub-par food despite us going out of our way to be gracious and understanding. He towered over both myself and my mother while we were seated, getting less than 3 inches from my mother's face. Both of us are clearly disabled, I myself have a port and tubes coming from my chest and was infusing IV medications and both of us had service dogs with us. He used his height and body to be physically aggressive and downright frightening. I thought he might strike us at one point. Chauvinism is alive and well at Indochine, it was clear this man thought us vulnerable and he took advantage of that fact to intimidate us into paying before we left. The sad thing is that the menu is good, and the decor is beautiful. However when u spend 20+ dollars on single dish you expect to be treated with respect and dignity. We were afforded neither. In fact we were terrorized into paying for a meal that was below sub par then booted out and told never to come back. We will be reporting to both BBB and the ADA for his truly frightening assault.

Cafe Indochine has always had amazing Thai food. But it all went downhill when the daughter moved to this new location in Tacoma. The original family owned restaurant is in Federal Way on pac highway. The food is worlds better AND its cheaper. On top of that they are really rude at this new location. Almost all the staff feels like they're such hot shit just because the aesthetic of the restaurant is fancy. Good for you, but that doesn't give you the right to act like pricks to your customers. You aren't in New York, this is Tacoma and Tacoma has always had a very homey feel and restaurants like this honestly just ruin that.

I hosted a dinner party at Indochine recently. My guests are still raving about the food. We ordered several different appetizers and were pleased with all of them The crab wontons were my favorite, though the potstickers were some of the best I have ever had. The curries were delicious and made to individual preference for degree of spiciness. No one could resist passing around dishes, as portions are very generous and so tempting in their presentations. The service was excellent. Two thumbs up.

Wonderful ambiance and excellent service. Of course the food is top notch as well. Props to Beth and to Sara. They were among the most professional and knowledgeable servers we've experienced in Tacoma. The price is reasonable for a restaurant of this caliber. The jungle curry is superb! Try the gelato as well! I Fully recommend this establishment.
