I was thinking about one of my favorite b&w photographers and friend, Chuck Kimmerle the other day. How his eyes must be in pain from all of the oversaturated color in my last few posts. I hope his monitor is okay after he threw his mouse at it. I…

A participant on a previous tour made a wonderful image of this great white fence (below).  With nice clouds in the sky, I decided to stop and create my version on my recent trip. Then some horses decided to come and say hello adding a bit of interest.  …

To my photography friends both professional and amateur alike, here is a wonderful opportunity for a win/win. A contest I've been made aware of by my dear friend Arlene W. Brooks. Her club is sponsoring the "From the Heart Juried Photography Exhibition" Proceeds support the Hibiscus Children's Center providing safe shelter for abused children. Details can be found here.

What a great way to support a great cause. Good luck!

There is more to the Cape May Point story I shared in my last post. It is uncommon for me to shoot directly into a sunset. I am usually drawn more to what I refer to as the backside sunset.  Essentially looking 180 degrees from the sun. I love the softer…

Having a central air conditioner fail when you need it most and to have it happen unexpectedly is never fun. That said, the great team at Clyde S. Walton, Inc. made the experience comfortable and easy. From the service technician who diagnosed the issue to the sales contact who never pressured us but rather coached us, to the installation team. All were tremendous. Was it the lowest price? No, and I'm okay with that because I believe you get what you pay for. I now have confidence that the Walton team will always take good care of me, be in business for a long time (making a profit) and assure my comfort at a fair price. Thank you!
