This is a pretty cool creature!
Here is a video of a rhinochimera swimming. The footage was captured by Okeanos Explorer in a dive in Hydrographer Canyon

A really cool looking watch, although it was developed for people who can't see it.

Super cute baby Tasmanian Devils. This breeding program is interesting because in the wild, the Tasmanian Devil population is being wiped out by a cancer that causes tumours in the face, and is transmitted by touch.

I first believed it was one more CGI, but I realised it was a real costume when I watched the video... I definitely want one for my birthday!

I found this pretty accurate. I like how it is manages to remain positive.

Humorous prose (and home truths about lip gloss. I get the chocolate kind from Northern Essence.)
Being a woman in STEM for.. (20 years? What counts?) N years anyway... has gradually completely wrecked my natural introverted sense of self consciousness as anyone riding the T with me last Saturday can attest (the only woman in the room? the only Jedi in the train car? PERFECTLY NORMAL no reason to feel more than baseline-strange about it, move along. Hopefully this gives you a good handle on "baseline.")

Really interesting article.

Ya, I'm pretty sure witnessing someone being shot at any age would screw you up, so as a kid it must be super devastating.

The Mysterious Blanket Octopus

The blanket octopus is perhaps the only creature on earth aside from man that truly appreciates a sense of drama. For example, most animals use things like poisons, sprays or smells as defensive mechanisms to ward off attackers. Not the blanket octopus. The blanket octopus instead uses its giant, built-in flowing cloak to dissuade potential predators by essentially convincing them that it's the ocean's Batman

I'd say it looks photoshopped but it looks too weird to be photoshopped ;)
