It was our first time trying out fondue at a restaurant and it was fun overall. We had the fiesta to begin with, a salmon filet for me and the steak platter for the wifey. Both were pretty good. The notion of cooking your own food and eating it was interesting. They have 3 sauces to complement the entrees - teriyaki(standard fare), curry(yogurt based, a tad sour, not bad), ginger plum(awesome!). Also you can choose your cooking style, we went with Mojo and weren't disappointed. On to the best part, the chocolate fondue. OMG, I'd come back here just for this! The flaming turtle was our flavor for the evening. Milk chocolate, caramel, fudge and pralines for the base fondue with rice crispies, banana slices, pineapple slices, pound cake, marshmallows and strawberries for dipping. Heaven! Docked a star because a waitress couldn't figure out what Boston lager was. She had to come back multiple times to confirm until she had her epiphany. And when she finally got it, she made it sound like she didn't hear me say lager... C'mon now! The irony was that she wasn't even the main server that we had given the order to.

We had a great night out here. Our waiter, Kevin, provided some of the best service I've ever had. The entire staff was wonderful though. They were attentive, personable, and friendly through the whole stay. The food was very good (dessert was amazing, we got the white chocolate fondue) I would recommend this restaurant to any couple that wants a great night out!

My girlfriend and I have been coming here every month on the 20th for dinner. Everyone has treated us nicely and the food is amazing. It is a little pricey but its worth it if you love fondu. Sitting at the bar will allow you to get your food a little faster and you still have full access to the menu (plus the bar tenders take extra care of you and your guest - good drinks!!!)

Super disappointed! My family and I love The Melting Pot, and have been to them all over the country. They are our "special celebration" place and have been for many years. So when we discovered that there were two in the Seattle area after we moved here, we were ecstatic! We booked a reservation for my son's high school graduation and our birthdays. When we got there, it was a nice enough atmosphere, however we were shown to our table and our waiter ended up being a trainee... which is no problem, but his "shadow", IE experienced waiter training him, also introduced himself and then promptly disappeared. We didn't see him again. And the trainee was clearly clueless. I am allergic to wheat, and this is one reason we make sure we go to the Melting Pot, because they tout themselves as very gluten free friendly on their website and we have had good experiences with other locations. The waiter was not in the know AT ALL about what was wheat/gluten free, and I had to walk him through each and every item on the menu that I could and couldn't have. Which, is generally not an issue at most places, but at a place that advertises that they are gluten free friendly? If I'm going to have to explain, I'll go somewhere else and pay less than half the price! I do understand that he was a trainee, but his training waiter never came back, never checked on him. Also, we go for special celebrations as most people do, and we were never even asked if we were celebrating, etc. That's all supposed to be part of the experience. And we were given tortilla chips for our cheese fondue, and had almost nothing to dip in our chocolate fondue. We had to ask for things to be brought to us 3-4 times every time, and we paid in cash... it took him 20 minutes to find change. All in all, the experience was just terrible. Sadly, even though this place has been a tradition since our son was very young, we will be finding a new place for important celebrations. $150 plus tip is a price I'd happily pay if our experience was good, but now I'm left regretting that money spent!

While the atmosphere and concept are a lot of fun, the service left a lot to be desired. Or server was very slow and had a difficult time keeping up with our table; there were only 4 of us. With our cheese she brough out enough dippers for two; we asked for more and waited about 10 minutes before we saw here again. She forgot that we had ordered salads; them brought out an incorrect one. Our chocolate was served cold; we had to ask for the burner to be turned on. And we had to request that our water be refilled. For the amout of money charged per person, we would expect service to be seemless! This particular visit was not impressive!

Great experience unlike any other dining because you cook your food. Wonderful variety and friendly service! The chocolate fondue is just the right size for 2. Maybe even come just for desert. And there is free parking. Best seats is probably a booth in the room with tall ceilings next to the windows.

I went into the Melting Pot last Friday night and I was impressed with how clean they were! I mean, everything from the tables to the lights was just spotless. I can only imagine how much cheese and chocolate must get flung around that place and yet it was spotless when I arrived. Food was great, bartender was friendly and I had a great time.
