Cochon attempts a creative spin on French bistro classics like escargot and rabbit with a lot of pork on the menu (as you'd expect from the name). On the Saturday evening our party of four visited for dinner, every table was occupied and the vibe was crowded and friendly. Everyone in our group enjoyed the Duck Pastrami appetizer, but entrees ranged from a tasty Crispy Pork Chop to a disappointing Bourguignon where it was hard to find the beef. The kitchen must have been running low on the beef by the time of our seating, but our waitress should have known this and encouraged us to order something else. Desserts were good but not memorable. The best part of the meal for our group was the wine, which we brought ourselves. We won't be back. Philly is a great restaurant town with many others to try.

Only at Cochon is where you will find a quick, friendly and reliable service. The food is absolutely amazing as well. Try out their grilled spare ribs appetizer. You will not be disappointed!

went for a friend's 21st, had 15 people. we all got exactly what we wanted, i was even able to order off the menu (pork belly ... MMMmmm) overall one of the better byob's in town

I never write reviews of restaurants but the escargot at this place was to die for! If that was all I ate there, I would have been completely satisfied. The pork tenderloin was amazing as well, but the escargot was simply the best I've ever had - better than the ones I tried in Paris. The server was very attentive, chilled our wine and kept a keen eye on when to top us off.

We had a fantastic meal at Cochon! It's one of those hidden gems we stumbled into and were pleasantly surprised to find half empty on a Friday night. The crispy pork chop and even the bacon flavored ice cream was delish!

french without the pretense. this restaurant did not disappoint on date night. the server was spectacular in explaining the menu and the food was equally creative and carefully prepared. this should anchor the up and coming passyunk ave restaurant row that's growing.

Pork chops were double thick, I ate all the unusual stuff and it was all good. My mom loved the escargo. The seafood was good also. Great overall job.
