Yay, one flower from our orchid. A little strange to see just one flower on the stem, but still...

Two rows of motorcycle cops a half-block long staged a half-block long, after Obama's motorcade passed through. They direct the traffic during the motorcade operation, blocking off streets as necessary. The tall building at the end of the block is the W hotel. The cop in the foreground was sort of an ass. (The one down the street that you can't see was nicer.)

Great Bench.  I am going to build one soon.  Arguing with myself about how wide.   I have been using 30" wide bench for 8 years..

Just put you in my WW circle.

Are you in the Woodworking community?   Good place to see just WW.   I will send you can invite.

In what is certainly the most important story you'll read all day, I just used the new water bottle that I got for my waterstones. In all seriousness, even if you don't have a Daiso around to get one of these triple-nozzle wonders, a squeeze bottle really is a lot easier to control than spray/pump bottles.

I messed up some grooves and decided that I had to fix them. Sigh.

Happiness may or may not be your frame saw zipping through western redcedar like it's nothing.

It may or may not be the shiny, tight rings that you see after you plane off the rough sides.

It may or may not be the shavings.

It may or may not be the aroma that fills the house when you leave the shop door open.

But in any case, I have quickly developed a strong liking for this wood.
