Seems like we're hearing more of our baseball athletes picking up balls again. Might be a good time to review the updated pitch count recommendations from PitchSmart. http://ow.ly/jmuQ30hFFJz

There is still hope for you couch potatoes. Check out this article from NBC News summarizing a recent study on starting an exercise program in more sedentary folks. You might be able to reverse the negative affects of being sedentary. Now, it's actually getting started that's the trouble. So, about that pizza delivery... http://ow.ly/vptr30hFxXB

Pretty much a discussion we have around here daily - "Can I get rid of my crutches yet?" Not just a simple yes or no answer to this one. Your doc has to be OK with it, but you should be able to execute this before we'll even discuss it. We guarantee that if you come see us, you will have specific tasks like this that you must do before progressing you along, rather than throwing darts at a calendar. This one is non-negotiable SSOR friends! :) http://ow.ly/7kbV30hFNRX

Are you or someone you know battling MS? If so, the physical decline can be quite debilitating. Here's a nice article written by a PT on some exercise tips for those w/ MS. Of course exercise can help, just have to make some modifications! http://ow.ly/qzbS30hAexk

Good question we get asked a lot around here - elliptical or treadmill? Nice short read from the Cleveland Clinic on the topic. http://ow.ly/75Pd30hyLvr

Sometimes patients say stuff that cracks us up - "I threw my back out" is always a crowd favorite. Don't get us wrong, this is PAAAINNNFUULL if it happens to you, but the term is quite silly. At any rate, check out our YouTube clip to learn what's happening when you "throw your back out" and a quick tip to hopefully take the edge off. Come see us though for the "fix." All of us at SSOR sincerely hope you find your back where ever you may have thrown it to. :) http://ow.ly/wOEq30hyCK5

Here's a common question around these parts - what is the best shoe to get for "X" activity? Good read here from the American Orthopaedic Foot and Ankle Society. Shoes are just part of the equation - if you're having pain, we'd love to help! http://ow.ly/p7Ye30hxU7f

We've seen some brutally tight hamstrings in here lately (legitimately tight, not because their hips were weak!) and some terrible stretching form. Here's a refresher from our YouTube clip on how to stretch those babies the right way. http://ow.ly/F7q530hxJXc

We always hear about how fiber is so good for you, but this New York Times Health article tells us why. Interesting read! http://ow.ly/2NWU30hwVdA

There's a few topics we regurgitate around here and one of them is early sports specialization in young athletes. Here's a short but comprehensive read on sports specialization in kids as well as what needs to happen to change the culture. Folks, the current culture keeps us really busy here, but our first job is to keep your kiddos from seeing us. http://ow.ly/83bv30hwfyM
