I live DTLA... so I eat at the local spots often. I must say WoodSpoon is one of the the most reliably and amazing restaurants that Downtown has to offer. The food is healthy, well prepared, timely, and so satisfying! There are only a few spots that I go to again and again when I know I want a great experience. WoodSpoon is at the top of that list! Their drink list changes often. They don't serve cocktails, just beer and wine. (bring your favorite beverage if you are picky) Normally this might steer us away, but we have found everything else about the place so exceptional, that we have decided to adapt. ;-)

1. I’m in a rush, give me a one sentence summary – Cozy downtown Brazilian restaurant with a good variety of flavorful dishes. 2. Food – I had the Brazilian grill plate with bacon-wrapped chicken. It came with rice, beans, plantains, collared greens, and a small cup of something similar to salsa. The chicken was prepared well, it was juicy and succulent and infused with a good smoky flavor from the grill and the bacon. The plantains were well prepared and my second favorite part of the dish. Everything else was fairly average. If you’re looking for a large, hearty meal I would suggest something else – I tend to eat a lot of food, and did not think that this was a very large meal. I probably could have eaten two of these plates, and ended up finishing my friends’ leftovers as well. I also had a Brazilian beer (don’t remember which, but their other two options were Stella & Blue Moon so it stuck out), which I would pass on in the future, as it was not much better than a Miller Lite. 3. Price – pretty reasonable compared to other downtown restaurants. Entrees run $15-20. Our meal for four, including drinks & a shared appetizer, ended up coming out to slightly over $100. 4. Ambience – we came at 8PM on a Tuesday and the place was almost empty aside from one or two other parties. However, our waiter said that they get more crowded and experience wait times on the weekend. This made it a great atmosphere to relax and catch up with friends over a meal. The restaurant is filled with warm, inviting colors, and the benches have pillows for backs which gives it a home-style feel. 5. Parking – pretty standard for downtown, with a few lots nearby and some street parking. 6. Misc – They only take reservations for parties of 6 or more.

Horrible restaurant! They are very unprofessional. We had a party there, and we received completely opposite than what we ordered.

I got the Chicken Pot pie. Its hearty but honestly a little small. If I go back im probably going to go for something off the grill. My friend got the bacon wrapped chicken and it seemed really good. The have Brazilian beer as well which was interesting but not that good. My other friend recommended the Sangria and I definitely should have listened. The place is nice but kind of small. We were lucky when we went since it was on a weekday but I can see how this place would be really crowded on the weekends

A small menu with great healthy feel-good food. You will probably forget their sides and salads once you start eating their Brazilian Grill. Though it is quite limited but you wouldn't mind trying the limited options over and over again. Drinks again are very limited and very usual nothing great as such. Good options for vegetarians.

Great atmosphere and food. Small space and long wait, but it worth the wait for quality Brazilian food. Services staff were good and welcoming.
