Stylish but simple Brazilian spot known for yuca fries & chicken pot pies paired with sangria.- Google
"Ordered the fish sandwich, grilled chicken skewer, pork burger and yuca fries."
"I generally love pot pie but I wasn't too enthused about this one."

I live DTLA... so I eat at the local spots often. I must say WoodSpoon is one of the the most reliably and amazing restaurants that Downtown has to offer. The food is healthy, well prepared, timely, and so satisfying! There are only a few spots that I go to again and again when I know I want a great experience. WoodSpoon is at the top of that list! Their drink list changes often. They don't serve cocktails, just beer and wine. (bring your favorite beverage if you are picky) Normally this might steer us away, but we have found everything else about the place so exceptional, that we have decided to adapt. ;-)

I can't remember half of my meal here because the abundance of Sangria got to me. However, I would highly recommend their vegetable soup and beet salad if you are looking for a healthier option. The portion size is huge and the service is good. Wood Spoon is very small and the seats are close to one another so you might have to wait a while for a table and don't expect to hold any personal conversations here without being heard.

I never had brazilian food and wood spoon popped my brazilian food cherry and it did not disappoint. Food was delish. Meat are juicy and really tasty. It feels very homey here although the place is a bit small. The only thing i didnt like was our food toon forever and it wasnt even a busy day.

I got the Chicken Pot pie. Its hearty but honestly a little small. If I go back im probably going to go for something off the grill. My friend got the bacon wrapped chicken and it seemed really good. The have Brazilian beer as well which was interesting but not that good. My other friend recommended the Sangria and I definitely should have listened. The place is nice but kind of small. We were lucky when we went since it was on a weekday but I can see how this place would be really crowded on the weekends

Went there for brunch, it's seriously the cutest restaurant for brunch whether its with your family, friends, and partner. Their set-up bar with jelly, juice, and fruits. The vibe they got it all down! Service: very attentive, great services from our server. She recommended a lot of great dishes to us. Food: I had the Grits & Chorizo with fried eggs and collards - All the texture was all there. It was homemade goodness. My friend had the house-cured pork belly with free range eggs & braised leeks - their spicy green sauce with the pork pairing was phenomenal. Everything was freshly made and it wasn't too oily or too much. We both paired our meal with their red sangria.

THERE IS CORN ON THE CHICKEN SAMMY! Omg it's so good I come here all the time! Great price for great food. I also love limeades and they're so convenient and refreshing in my time of need. Thank où wood spoon for being there when I need you most, when I'm hungry.

I had the mix plate appetizer since I wanted to try a lot of the appetizers at once. It is perfect if you have a party of two because everything is easy to share and to splice. Fried food overload, however, so if you are on a diet, expect this! Then of course I got the chicken pot pie. The outside bread layer is so fluffy and nice, but the inside is very hot and an intresting combination of shredded chicken, corn, and other stuff. I generally love pot pie but I wasn't too enthused about this one. However, the ambience is extremely great and the service is awesome as well!

1. I’m in a rush, give me a one sentence summary – Cozy downtown Brazilian restaurant with a good variety of flavorful dishes. 2. Food – I had the Brazilian grill plate with bacon-wrapped chicken. It came with rice, beans, plantains, collared greens, and a small cup of something similar to salsa. The chicken was prepared well, it was juicy and succulent and infused with a good smoky flavor from the grill and the bacon. The plantains were well prepared and my second favorite part of the dish. Everything else was fairly average. If you’re looking for a large, hearty meal I would suggest something else – I tend to eat a lot of food, and did not think that this was a very large meal. I probably could have eaten two of these plates, and ended up finishing my friends’ leftovers as well. I also had a Brazilian beer (don’t remember which, but their other two options were Stella & Blue Moon so it stuck out), which I would pass on in the future, as it was not much better than a Miller Lite. 3. Price – pretty reasonable compared to other downtown restaurants. Entrees run $15-20. Our meal for four, including drinks & a shared appetizer, ended up coming out to slightly over $100. 4. Ambience – we came at 8PM on a Tuesday and the place was almost empty aside from one or two other parties. However, our waiter said that they get more crowded and experience wait times on the weekend. This made it a great atmosphere to relax and catch up with friends over a meal. The restaurant is filled with warm, inviting colors, and the benches have pillows for backs which gives it a home-style feel. 5. Parking – pretty standard for downtown, with a few lots nearby and some street parking. 6. Misc – They only take reservations for parties of 6 or more.
