Huh. Anyone else have an issue with certain people being reset out of your circles?

Always interesting to me. Some of my favorites in the industry are female, and I always make an effort to find and buy their books.

News circles! Ah joy, I've barely scratched the surface of this new thing!

Here's another topic that's slowly building buzz within the public discourse, but obviously treated as a much bigger deal in Europe than in the US. My gut tells me that GMOs are probably not so good, in that side effects may be wide and unpredictable, but at the same time, how is this much different than the hybridization that has created much of the foods we now take for granted today as commonplace and acceptable? Corn (or Maize if you happen to live anywhere else in the world) as we know it, for instance, is a much different species than ever grew in the wild, or even in early domestication.

Here's some of their responses to that documentary. Spin spin spin... Why they're such a feeder for congress and other government agencies.

Yeah man it's best to break the chains. I really wish there was a good unlocked phone option though here. These carriers are oligarchs.

Mother's Comcast bill went up another $20/month. This along with second Netflix price hike in the past 12 months, and rising prices on pretty much everything, combined with my stagnant wage, can't help but think about this even more critically:

I vividly remember a former editor of ours remarking that he couldn't wait for "things to get back to the way they used to be." He didn't like it when I asked what made him so sure that the way things had been hadn't gotten us in the mess we were in. It seems the word 'renormalize' is in order.
