10 reasons it's time to move beyond textbooks
1). Paper is getting more and more expensive and textbooks frankly aren't very environmentally friendly. 2). Because the typical history book has just a few pages on the Civil War and when I google the 'Civil War' I get 870,000,000 results in .047 seconds. ...

There's no such thing as 'just' a teacher...
You all know that child who doesn't have someone advocating for them. As a teacher, you are in a position to advocate for and fight for what is best for that child . Wow... what an awesome responsibility. Where else in the world do you get to work with so m...

Story
Introduction
My name is Justin Tarte and I am a passionate educator with a love of learning and technology. I am married to my best friend, Gina, and we have a yellow lab named Maddy. Maddy will do anything for a puppy treat, and she loves to give kisses.

I am the Director of Curriculum & Support Services in the Union R-XI School District. Prior to that I was the assistant principal at Poplar Bluff Junior High School, and before that I taught German at Seckman High School in the Fox C-6 School District in Arnold, Missouri. I have been to Germany 6 times and have traveled throughout much of Europe during my visits. I am excited about integrating technology and social media into the educational setting, while increasing collaboration and transparency among all stakeholders.

My wife and I had a great experience buying a new 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee from Luis Aguayo. He was helpful and pleasant to work with during the buying process and we would buy another car from him in the future. Unfortunately, at the time of purchase, we were informed by Royal Gate that they could only find one set of keys for our new car. We were then told to come back in two days to get the second set of keys when we dropped off some additional title paperwork. Unfortunately when I came back two days later the second set of keys was still not found and I was told I would have to have a new set of keys cut. Luis then took me down to the service department to have the new set cut. They informed me that this process would take 30 minutes, and after about 20 minutes of waiting they informed me they didn't have the proper key in stock to cut a second key. I then was told I would have to come back and set up an appointment in roughly 4 days to have the second set of keys cut. I find this to be rather taxing on a customer who just purchased a brand new vehicle since it was obviously nothing we did wrong but yet we are being inconvenienced by having to go through this process. It is our hope that Royal Gate Dodge will do everything possible to ensure we are satisfied customers by resolving this situation promptly and by also recognizing the time we are having to give up to obtain the second set of keys. Lastly, we assumed we would get a full tank of gas when purchasing a new vehicle, but our vehicle was only filled 3/4 of the way. Thank you.
