While the waitress was very nice the food here is overpriced, very plain and isn't cooked with any particular skill.

As a non-drinker of alcohol, fine teas are my wines. I went into Tao Tea Leaf hoping to try a few before I buy (as I would in China). Unfortunately the profit margin probably disappears if they do this in Canada so it wasn't so possible. You can drink in store, however. After trying a white pu'er and not being blown away by it, I ended up getting the top grade tie guanyin. It's phenomenal. It's soft and incredibly fragrant. It's not cheap, but good tea isn't. Good advice from the manager (I'm not sure if it was the owner or not). I would definitely buy from this place again.

The best ice cream ever. My friends told me this and I dismissed them. That was until I tasted the banana puddin and basil flavours. Phenomenal and very friendly service.

I wouldn't return. The curries were covered in a centimetre thick or more of oil and tasted like...oil. The Biryani was tastelss. The staff were also rude. They refused to talk to me as a woman and kept asking my male friend what we would be eating despite the fact that I was ordering and paying.
