Star Trek: Discovery is now in full on hype mode! Today, we have our best look at the Starfleet phasers that will be used on the new series. This comes just a day after the Starfleet communicators were revealed by CBS through social media on Monday.

The show takes place in the prime timeline and is set approximately ten years before Captain Kirk, Spock, McCoy and the crew of the U.S.S. Enterprise explored the galaxy in Star Trek: The Original Series....

This time last year, Paramount, Skydance and Bad Robot boldly announced that Star Trek 4 was on the cards.

Jeopardy! hasn’t been a stranger to covering Star Trek before, but Tuesday’s episode might take the prize for hiding, in plain sight, one of the coolest The Next Generation references we’ve ever seen on the show.

Viewers pointed out that the second round of Jeopardy included two categories that, by themselves, weren’t all that conspicuous. One was covering Shaka, the Zulu king and conquerer. The other was about war and conquest. However, when their powers combined, they took on a whole new meaning... one that seemed tailor-made for diehard Star Trek fans....

While the big Star Trek story at this year’s San Diego Comic-Con is the Discovery panel — which will happen Saturday, July 22 at 2:30 p.m. in Ballroom 20 — there’s a lot of other Star Trek-related activities going on throughout the annual mega event....
