I've been to il Buco several times now and have never had quite a negative experience like last night's - our server was incredibly rude and bordered on incompetent (had to ask her four times for for a couple different things, spilled drinks, made snide side remarks on our orders and questions and didn't inform us when one of our orders was out), it took over an hour to get a few pasta dishes and a raw fish dish to us (I mean, really, how long does it take to cook raw fish?), and when we went to the host staff and manager, he brushed us off like we were nothing. Normally in these situations one might expect them to comp drinks or to offer up a complimentary appetizer or dessert; in this instance, he just rolled his eyes back in his porcine head. Admittedly the food is terrific, but you can find places that are comparable (Aria?) where you don't have to deal with the people you are paying to serve you treating you like you're nothing.

Awesome service with a patient staff. I had the spicy octopus with homemade pasta - really good but I always get food envy. The porchetta looked awesome and the short rib panini. Nice place to relax for brunch and lounge for 2-3 hours. Highly recommend.

Two words: order Everything! I'm kidding lol but anything you order will be amazing. The owner Diane has made an excellent job and her staff as well. Take recommendations for the wine and how to pair it with the food. The atmosphere is like being back in an italian market with all the colors and the aroma :)

Delicious Italian in a lively atmosphere, but the real stars of the show are the short rib sandwich and the porcetta sandwich. They're both totally worth the hype.

What a great place! ambiance is fantastic, like you walked off the street somewhere in southern Italy. Great for a date, but make sure yo request the wine cellar. bellissimo!
