If you read Batman between 1988 and 1992, you saw Norm Breyfogle's influential art work. He is a talented artist who gave my childhood a dependable, fun experience each time I bought one of his books. Now, he needs help paying medical bills following a stroke. So many comic book artists impacted the movies and TV shows we see today but their salaries and insurance were not enough to really take care of their basic needs. Consider donating to Norm's cause and/or the Comic Book Legal Defense Fund (http://cbldf.org/) and/or the Hero Initiative (http://www.heroinitiative.org/).
NORM BREYFOGLE SUFFER STROKE and has a long road to recovery ahead with extended therapy and has no insurance. as a lengendary BATMAN ARTIST. his lifetime savings has already been dwindled down to nothing paying for for out of pocket, insurmountable medical expenses in nearly a week in I.C.U. Norm...

I have blogged here before about my good friend and former roommate Jarrod Davis, who is a visual effects guy and who (ab)used his awesome powers to sneak the spaceship from our Star Wars roleplayi...

Free comics? Good message? Nothing to lose.
Tomorrow sees the fifth annual TEDxTeen conference, a live event hosted by the We Are Family Foundation and, this year, focuses on "the crazy ones" -- independent thinkers who go on to achieve success and change the world. As part of the daylong event, Marvel Entertainment editor Sana Amanat will be talking about Ms. Marvel and the publisher's own contribution to the subject.

Okay, +Ed Raines, time to quit your job and start publishing all those stories on your hard drive.  : )
The ongoing war against the terrorist forces of Cobra has added a new battleground: Kindle Worlds. Amazon.com's program to allow fan-fiction authors to publish and profit from specific licensed work has added Hasbro's G.I. Joe to a list of properties that already includes Gossip Girl, The Vampire Diaries and Valiant Entertainment's Unity.

Worth a read if for this quotation alone, "The idea that Nintendo should “just dump its old games on iOS for free money” is Underpants Gnomes logic."

I didn't make it into this year's Marine Corps Marathon so I registered to support Houses for Our Troops (HFOT), an org that assists severely injured veterans and their families by raising donations, building materials and professional labor and helping to build specially adapted homes so they have "maximum freedom of movement and the ability to live more independently." If I raise $500 by 8/1, I've got a chance to run the MCM with ‪#‎TeamHFOT‬. I'm running to honor our military, help some wounded warriors and challenge myself. Please consider supporting me and HFOT with $1, $5 or more by visiting: http://hfotmcm14.kintera.org/RunRobRun . Thanks!.

Add these to the acquisition list, +Ed Raines.
They're like Superman, but for financial literacy.

Fascinating American ingenuity at work. A fertility panel for $35? Cholesterol check for $2.99? This looks like a great way to control some medical costs and empower people to take control of their own health.

And it does away with the pain and agony of having vials of blood drawn (especially those of us with submerged/hidden veins)!

I wish I knew how to do something with this! Quick! Somebody do something so I can start complaining about it!  : P
The home of Captain America Spider-Man and many other beloved comic book heroes is setting them loose on the world. Hulk fans: happy.
