Pretty cool interior but loud and apparently a popular spot for families with young kids. You wouldn't expect it by looking at it but a lot of families will come here for dinner and as a result the place can get pretty loud and messy at times.

When I first visited (about 6 months) ago, it seemed like a standard place to go for a beer and American-style food. But after re-visiting for dinner this week, I was floored — tasting dishes like butternut squash tortellini, foraged mushrooms (by the chef himself!), fancy desserts...and *very* well priced. For an epic beer list in JP, this is your spot; and whether you're on a more upscale-casual date, grabbing some snacks and a brew with a pal, or looking for an actual dining experience, this place has it.

Great atmosphere with exposed brick and beams, hip music, friendly cool staff, really good food.

I attempted to meet a friend for a drink. We sat at the bar, which was nice..the windows were all open the bar was nice BUT there wasn't a bartender, they were all at the other end, maybe there were regulars down there? Who knows...But you would think for the amount of people who were behind the bar, that someone would be paying attention to who was coming and going, right? Not a chance.. There was a guy in front of us cleaning the area, I'm assuming he was the bar back guy? Whoever he was, he didn't make any eye contact and he certainly didn't bother to mention to his coworkers that there were patrons waiting and waiting and waiting, at least 15mins go by and finally a very unfriendly bartender comes our way, I asked her for a drink menu, she handed it to me and then walked off and she didn't come back until 10mins later. I was beyond annoyed at this point, especially since I've worked in the restaurant business for 3yrs. I ended up getting water. Before we left I made a pit stop to the bathroom..3 stalls and not a single roll of toilet paper..a young girl walked in and I said "good luck, there's no TP" and she said "ooops, that's my job" I can see if it was crazy busy and you didn't have a chance to check the bathrooms but at 11:30p at night, the night before the 4th, it wasn't all that hopping and the bathroom was gross! And absolutely the worst bar service. I would never step foot in there again. Too bad, it is a cool bar but just like Alchemist, I'm sure it will eventually be gone! FYI..I didn't eat I can't give it a rating..

Pros: beer list, open air, warm staff Cons: subpar food, noise level
