#ifihadglass we would help save the lives of women around the world by using the glasses to connect Johns Hopkins University trained community health workers with skilled physicians to enable these health workers to perform life-saving procedures for mothers in remote areas of India, Tanzania, Kenya and Indonesia.

Why is Postpartum Family Planning important? Not only do pregnancies during this period hold the greatest risk for mother and baby, the first 12 months after childbirth also present the greatest opportunities in terms of number of contacts with health care services.

Introduction
MCHIP (Maternal and Child Health Integrated Program) is the USAID Bureau for Global Health’s flagship maternal, neonatal and child health (MNCH) program. MCHIP works to keep women, babies and children alive throughout the developing world.

MCHIP brings together a partnership of organizations with demonstrated success in reducing maternal, newborn, and child mortality rates, and malnutrition. Our partners include Jhpiego, JSI, Save the Children, PATH, JHU/IIP, Broad Branch, and PSIMacro International continues support for the Child Survival and Health Grants Program (CSHGP) and the Malaria Communities Program (MCP).
