☕️Best Cafe de Olla.....add some creamer and a little cinnamon and you're ready to go. Unless you have a sweet tooth you may need to add some sugar. ☺️ Amazing guava and cheese taquitos. Although I love me some Portos these guava and cheese pastries are absolutely the best! 😍 Can't wait for my next visit. 😋

This is my reward for swimming at the Rose Bowl at 5:30am The fresh pastries are delicious and the staff is very friendly. If I am in the mood for spicy sandwiches or a little sweet corn cake, this bakery offers a variety of choices which are always very good. The coffee and tea blended drinks are native to Mexico. The Goldline train is across the street and makes the connection to downtown LA and people watching interesting.

I've been here twice now, each time thinking that the food would be good. I had a croissant and it was absolutely terrible; so dry and not at all flaky. The coffee also tastes horrible; I've ordered their espresso drinks twice and they're always really watered down and weak tasting.

Very good pan dulce, nice location. Nice shop. My only issue is that everything seems to cost a couple bucks more than it should. Then again that's most likely due to this La Monarca being in South Pasadena

Great mexican pastries, as well as vegan snack options. Right by the train station.

I love this place. The coffee is really really good. Also, if you like the smell of fresh baked pastries then just stay there for 5 minutes. The internet is really fast and the staff is really nice. Plenty of seats and plugs.

La Monarca is quite popular for its pastries, but the real reason I go to this little bakery is because of their polvorones (my daughter squeals at the mere sight of them) and their coffee grounds. See, this bakery gets it. Instead of throwing coffee grounds (urban gold) away, they package it up give them away for free to anyone who wants them. Polvorones AND coffee grounds? You don’t have to ask me twice.
