Sorry about your father, but this post is not affiliated with Sprint. The website mentioned in the above post doesn't even exist anymore. You basically just spent all of that time writing out a post in forgotten territory. I would recommend trying to find Sprints Facebook page and trying there.
Once again, sorry to hear about your father. I hope you can get in touch with someone who can help, but this post isn't it.

I am EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED IN SPRINT and SAD that a company as big as yours don’t care about handicapped or people with cancer.  My father is extremely handicapped from seven brain tumors over the past five years. (and he is only 61 years old) He has been through four brain surgeries, two gamma knifes, and 31 treatments of radiation.  His fourth brain surgery he also had to have a gamma knife along with it.  This last surgery has been the worst from all of them.  His vision is not very good and he has a hard time walking all the time.  I am a former U.S. Marine and I have quit my schooling and I cannot work because I am a full time care taker for my father.  I am always afraid that my father may fall and hurt himself and not be able to make a phone call or contact someone that he has indeed fell or something of such had happen.  At the current time he has the worst phone I have ever used in my or his life, a Windows Phone 7.  It is very hard for him to understand how to use and not very customizable for his needs.

I then became very excited when I found an app called iFall made from the researchers at Florida State University and it uses the Android system.  I, myself am very familiar with the Android system and was already planning on getting my father the Galaxy S3 White version because the screen was so big so he could see it and I could customize it to call me very easily if I am not around.  When I found out about the iFall program I was even more excited.  So, I have been trying to save up for it but medical bill after medical bills have been coming in from his last surgery, it has been very hard for us to pay for the normal bills let alone for this phone.

Today, I had to get my windshield replaced for my car.  I was there for three hours and about an hour into the glass shop changing my windshield, my father called me and told me he fell and couldn’t get up.  My heart dropped and I was so upset.  He said he was ok and he would just wait until I came home so I could help him get up.  I was still upset but there wasn’t much I could do.   So while I was waiting, I called Sprint to see if I could get this phone earlier and just have them bill me on my bill and we would pay it right away at the beginning of the month.  Sprint has done this in the past so I didn’t see any problem with this.  I explained to them why it is so important that he gets this phone, for the app, iFall.  The sales person understood and tried to put it on our bill for next month but could not.  I asked them why because in the past they could do it and have.  They went ahead and had me talk to a higher supervisor and they said the same and then another until I came to a rude person who didn’t even seem to care about why I needed this phone and just wanted me off the phone.  I believe his name was Mike, though I do know his Employee number is 38489053.  I was very very upset because my father is the world to me as anyone’s father is.  This was so disrespectful toward anyone handicapped, going through cancer, or anything thing life threating.  This shows just plan greed on the company’s side.  I am not asking for a free phone or asking for any charity from your company.  I was just asking you to do what you have done in the past, bill my bill for a phone that will help my father live and while I am not around we both have the peace of mind that I will know when he falls because the App, iFall would call me when something like this happens.  Sprint doesn’t see it this way I guess.  It is sad because I HAD a lot of respect for this company until I talked to the last person on the phone and how rude he was to me.  It showed me how much Sprint really cares about people with disabilities or with cancer, a brain tumor (seven) at that.  Now that I see how important it is for my father to get this phone, there is a high possibility that I will be changing my father’s phone to T-Mobile.  My sister has T-Mobile and I know they will bill her and we can pay them at the beginning of the month, she will just have to ship me the phone from Ohio to California.  I would rather give money to a company that cares about their customers as much as we have cared about your company, Sprint.  We have kept you together for this long, why can’t you help a person.  My father who has been so strong throughout these past hard five years of brain cancer and isn’t asking anything from your company but to be billed for the phone at the end of the month.  Your company makes me sad.  Until I hear something positive and hear a positive outcome from your company about this, I will continue to post this and more on how I was treated.  I will then twitter blast and after that I will be making YouTube videos to make sure anyone that is handicapped or has family member that are doesn’t buy products from your company.
