This gym is 100% awesome! I started working out here 6 months ago. I love all the people that work here- they have become like family to me. All the trainers are fantastic, the rest of the staff are super friendly and fun. I have lost 30lbs in the past 6 months. That's never happened at any other gym because I have never had the support system like I do at this gym. I HIGHLY recommend this place to anyone needing motivation or a not-so-intimidating place to work out that still has all the equipment you need.

Don't fall for the sale tactics. READ, READ, READ, terms of the contract. If you ever wanna leave, that will be too bad - because you will be stuck there. Oh, and the fees.....Just stay away from the place.

Djurdja, Because of this review, we have changed our policies. Our old policies seemed right at the time. Clearly they didn't feel right to you. So from this point on, it's much easier to get out of a contract. Thank you for making us better.

Went to get an estimate on membership and personal trainers. Talked to two helpful staff members up at the front, they explained the rates for month to month and contracts. They had 4 different plans. When I asked to talk about the price of training, I was led to a woman whom I'm guessing is a manager, if not owner. I don't even remember her name, that's how much I wanted to get away from that place. All I know is as soon as I saw her, I knew she had to have been high on something. I know what high people look like, talk, and act like. She did an assessment of my level of fitness, goals, etc. All that was well and good, but by the time we finished, she was more than ready for me to sign papers. I get that, it's a business. But for freaks sake, don't question the validity a potential customer's reasoning, as to why they want to wait. I have bills, a lot, I'm young! Sometimes I make rash decisions, like decide I need to blow money on a personal trainer, when really, I might not be able to afford one. So when I say I need time, don't cop an attitude like I've just been a downer on your high! Im a woman, I know women language. If it takes you a solid 3 seconds to reply to my "thank you for your time", you want me out of your office. And THEN she told me they only had 2 memberships available and that if i signed up right then, she would be able to lower the joining fee. Nevermind that I was shown 4 plans, one being $40.00 a month, no contract and no sign up fee. That gave me my answer. I'll take my fat elsewhere. No thanks!

The facility and the staff are very good and helpful. However...I had several reasons why I chose to close out and pay the remainder of my contract. 1. I was not offered any alternative to a year contract when I began. I know this is a very lucrative way for fitness centers to get guaranteed income from people who might never return after a few visits. Nonetheless I would have appreciated not having to ask about alternatives. 2. Having a sign on the front desk inviting anyone interested to participate in an "Exploring God' class to connect to the specific staff person interested in hosting it is so not ok. If I want religious conversation I will go to a religious community. I don't really want it at a fitness center. 3. A small detail though important is that the cost of a 24 hour pass to get into the facility is additional to the contract. I protested to staff and they gave me a free pass. As I noted above the staff and facility are good but some of the corporate practices seem a bit less than clear. I now go to the YMCA which has no religious materials, no requirement for a membership beyond month-to-month and has a community center feel to it.

We absolutely love this review. Thank you, Sir for taking the time to leave it. We've changes the way we present our memberships, and the no-contract options are easily found now. The 24 hour is now automatically part of our new memberships. This week is our 25 year anniversary and we believe it has something to do with that little sign you noticed. The Young Men's Christian Association is subsidized by big government and their membership prices are higher than our new ones.... So, it actually is a community center because the community is paying for it in their taxes. We are so very happy that you have found a home you are happy with. Have a beautiful day! My first time to this gym with my husband was over the weekend. He's currently rehabbing from back surgery and the trainer he was paired with is awesome! He leaves there feeling like "Jell-O" every time. When you come in - greeted with a friendly face and smile and lots of equipment options to choose from. I will be back for myself and will recommend to others!
