President Obama and the NATO leaders intend to keep NATO forces fighting in Afghanistan for another two-and-a-half years, with an unspecified number of NATO/US forces remaining for “training” purposes...

Picked this book up a couple weeks ago, and I highly recommend it. I'm working on an app in which I want to expose parts of its API over HTTP, and the guidelines presented in this book have greatly helped me understanding the issues in HTTP and REST API design.

I did too! I've been experimenting with it a lot. The URL is the new command-line!

Most Talked About People On Social Networks

I started noticing a trend throughout the social media sphere. Every social network has slightly different types of conversations that take place. After doing a little research (and seeing folks like +Mike Elgan confirm my suspicion) I decided to create this simple photo that tells the story.

Enjoy g+niuses. ;)

"Booting out Beltway barnacles closing in on four decades in power is not “cannibalization.” It’s healthy rejuvenation, restoration and rejection of the pernicious permanent political class our Founding Fathers so vehemently opposed."
In a piece that's sure to make the Hatch campaign wince, prominent conservative Michelle Malkin vigorously defends the Utah senator's primary challenger today in her nationally syndicated column. Six...

Android phone: rooted. Didn't even require hooking up ADB. No ZergRush. Just a kernel image, drag-drop from my Mac to internal storage, boot the phone into upgrade, select said kernel image: rooted, with CWM.

Next step: a custom build that gets rid of the stock bloatware, and the next step after that: roll my own ROM images. So-far, I'm using ROM images downloaded from XDA. But, I've got Samsung opensource for my phone, and I'm getting the SDK and platform tools, along with a cross-compile toolchain setup on my MBP. Wish me luck!

Special thanks (shout out) to +Jocala Jocala for Exhibit II ROM's, especially the super-simple rooted kernel image.

+Boyd Wold thanks for the info, I'll give that a try! I'm planning to use TB going forward, but still trying to have my cake and eat it too with the recovery backup that I've got.

Worst case, I could restore from recovery, taking me back to the previous platform rom, then install TB, backup from TB, then install the new ROM and restore with TB. But if your recommendation works, I can save a couple steps.
