If anyone asks me about bars in studio city I will definitely recommend this one! The bartenders were friendly and helpful and made some tasty drinks. Try the autumn apple if you like whiskey and the season of fall. The brick ceilings are a nice touch and adds to the atmosphere.

Gourmet gastropub specialty food. Good drinks. Nice atmosphere

The Host had a cold, was rubbing and touching his nose and then serving food without washing his hands. Dill Chips good, followed by tasteless Fried Cauliflower. Overcooked Calamari. Fluffer Nutter, don't bother unless you like lots of burnt Panko encrusted Brioche. When we asked for the check, the Host with a cold decides it is time to clean the table. I would not recommend this "gastropub" to anyone, and will not return...

Black Market is a bar first, but chef Antonia Lofaso is cooking up some delicious dishes in the bar's open kitchen. Some of the standouts are the deviled quail eggs, short rib sliders, lamb meat balls and the beef tongue sopes. For dessert the spiced chocolate pudding is smokin. I hope that Chef Antonia can keep up the high standards that she has established in the opening months.
