Hi All,

Had a "Pilot Error" crash the other day. Didn't really do any damage to my Ghost Drone or Gimbal, but I did lose one of the rubber connecting pieces that connects the Gimbal to the Drone. Any thoughts on getting another? I did send an email to support@ehang.com(it was just now, so I'm not expecting an immediate answer.

Has anyone else experienced this? Is anyone taking any precautions to prevent this? I was thinking a loose zip-tie or a small bolt with a locking nut. Thoughts?

I had the same experience, tried flying my drone but crashed at high speed, the rubber shock absorbers were detached from the gimbal frame. I learnt it the hard way. I have to order another set of absorbers online. I will try to remember to use a zip tie or cable tie to secure through the rubber absorbers.

Hey Luke!!  Yup, had played with a couple cheap ones and decided to go with one that could take the equivalent of a GoPro... Still getting used to it, but flies well. Uses your iPhone or Android as the control mechanism (they do have a manual controller available too)....

How are things?!

First flight was a success!!  Took a while to figure out how to get it to initialize and unlock, but once I did, all was good. Running the iOS version and I did the firmware update to the drone.  The only thing that didn't seem to be working properly was "follow me" mode, but I had limited space to try it.

Regarding battery %, is it normal to have it reporting a low battery percentage (like under 18%), then after you land the % will rise again? Is this a function of how the LiPO batteries work (maybe it cools a bit and then will "come back".

So, as suggested, first few flights will be just the basic drone, then I'll put the camera on. Looking forward to that. Will keep you posted!

+Kamiiyu Chan... yes, that is what I want as well.. But for now, until that time comes, it will be best to send it to Ehang if someone really wants Follow-Me mode to work.  It is not ideal to lose 2 weeks of flying time due to transport and updating but it is up to the user to weigh in.  Mine was sent for repair and Ehang updated it pro-actively as well so it worked for me even if I really don't need it for now.

Hi! I recently received the GHOST i8 Remote Controller. I can get it to work in "manual" mode with no problem, but it doesn't do anything but the drone does nothing but flash in GPS mode. The box for the controller did have the parts in the picture below, but nothing about how to install. I assume the two are related. Anyone have an idea??

I believe it's the ghost that acquires the satellites not the RC. When you calibrate with the Gbox does it acquire enough satellites?

First flight with the camera installed. Moderate wind and a little vibration, but otherwise okay. The main battery door popped-open (anyone have a suggestion on that?)... also, anyone know how to set the date/time on the chip so the files are time-stamped properly? Two other videos on my YouTube channel.

My stats:
Ghost-Drone Aerial Plus
Ghost camera
iOS G-Box
