Interesting article - We have instant access to technology that tells us what's on, where we have to be, what's in our diary. But then technology also makes it easy to instantly change what's in our diary and bail depending on how we feel and what's going on in our life at that time. Are you a last minute bailer? For those that work from home, we all have different strategies to help us be more productive. Make sure you click through to the second page of the article.

I've tried intermittent fasting, and it does help with focus when you are particularly busy. Takes a while to build up to the longer fasting periods though so your focus isn't on when it's time to eat!

The StayFocusd app is a great idea for restricting Social Media that can end up being real time wasters. I often open facebook to post something specific, then find I'm still there half an hour later and haven't even finished what I set out to do.

How many of these points can you relate to? There are several I can relate to, but 6, 8 and 9 are forefront for me at the moment with doing a 10-day detox. It's taken a few days, but I am starting to feel so much better in myself. No. 1 is something I've discussed before. I'm often guilty of starting things but then get distracted and head in a different direction. It really is something we should be aware of and think about how this behaviour affects us.

How do you feel about networking? Is it a challenge? Or does it come easily to you? At the end of the day it's about connecting with people and developing relationships. If you're going in with the mindset of 'what's in it for me' you will find it difficult to form the all important relationships that can lead to business partnerships.

Taking a break from the internet and social media! This article from Kelly Exeter from Flying Solo made me think about my recent issues with internet connectivity and how I felt when it was intermittent over a few hours. I totally rely on it for the admin work I do, and was unable to do any work until we got it sorted. Everything is online or in the cloud!

Digital detox weekend? No doubt there would be more conversation with the other half, more housework done, and perhaps even some baking for a change (although I'd have to choose something from a printed recipe book and not just Google as I usually do now).
