Intelligentsia has incredible coffee and espresso--we all know that. The product is top-notch and the baristas are all experts. But I like the Pasadena location in particular for its atmosphere. It's just a cool place to hang out!

The people who work here are all nice and the drinks and snacks are good. Soapbox Sessions are fun on Thursday nights too. This is my favorite Coffee shop.

The coffee was good , but the service was really bad , being in Old Pasadena you expect that they have better attitudes, we were there on on Friday July 3 ,2015 at 8 pm , with 4 other couples talking and having fun , the waiter that had an attitude and came and told us to keep it down we were too loud , if I known that that was a library I would have not take my friends there. The worst part was there were two other couples came in and they were laughing loud like us but he never once go and told them anything .

Decent experience! Everything was sooooo expensive! Came here one morning for breakfast and coffee. We walked down and found this place which was super cute on the outside and on the inside. There was a bunch of yoga/gym rats in line ahead of us in their designer yoga pants that clearly cost more than $100 each. Definitely a very snooty clientele. We ordered a hot tea each, and then 6 different pastries to share. Each pastry item was well over $5, which is definitely more than what I'm used to paying even at a fancy coffee shop. Our hot teas took a long time which was weird since teas are easy to make. The pastry items were interesting with random flavors such as the spam kimchi croissant, which taste pretty good. The other items were ok, with 2 of them being very hard and difficult to chew. Service was nice, but I definitely would not go out of my way to come here.

A well situated spot in Old Town, right in the middle of several of my favourite places. The staff is friendly without being invasive and the coffee is the best around. Nothing is better then spending a Sunday morning at an outside table here with a good book and a Black Cat Latte. Prices are a bit much, especially with two Starbucks and CBTL just a few blocks East, South, and West but taste and worth it. It looses a star on account of the rather heavy choice of music - seems a bit much to go with relaxing coffee and people watching. I mean I didn't go all the way into Old Town to plan the revolution or brood about the ills of society, thats what my living room and the internet is for. And while the music does seem well paired with the Industrial Decor, I can't help but wonder if there isn't another genera of song that might do just as well?

Good starting coffee and curious staff that answers your caffeine questions. I consider Starbucks coffee to be the best tasting coffee. So the following comment is a huge compliment, they could give Starbucks a run for their money.

So hipstery. Which usually I don't mind, but if the employees sort of look down their noses at you, it kind of mars the whole experience.
