Popular Lower Haight grunge bar. You are guaranteed to see people chain smoking outside the door with PBR drinks in hand. A popular pool table in the back. A dark atmosphere. A wondering pitbull or two will lie on the soft cushioned benches and follow the owner outside for a smoke. And they have pinball too. Not for everyone, but this is a quintessential Lower Haight bar.

While this sticker-strewn bar can be intimidating if you aren't rocking your punk rock cred, push through the stable door and you'll find a dive reminiscent of an underground DC hardcore hangout. Stickers cover the rafters and two pinball machines lurk next to an ATM. Bring your dog, order a two dollar PBR, and get your grime on. I love this place.

this bar remains cheap throughout the night, which is super nice. the traveling crowd of lower haight is often present. however, there is generally a crowd comprised of different levels of hipster there. some seating is available, and there is a good conversational atmosphere.

One of the best dives in my neighborhood, which is great because there's a few of them. Two pinball machines, almost always in relatively crappy condition, cheap beers, at least two dogs at any given time, a crazy guy in a cowboy hat, a legion of crazy people and regulars smoking in the doorway, and a jukebox that reeks of that one kid in high school who wore a black jacket and the same jeans every week but then dropped out because his family couldn't afford shampoo. What I'm saying is Molotov's doesn't give a rat's about what you think.

Punk rock bar. Reminds me of a few in DC i used to frequent. Beware, this place isn't Mad Dog and I love it. If I lived closer to Molotov's I would go there A LOT....I mean A LOT. Jukebox has great tunes, the bartenders are cool and the beers are cheap. 2 dollar PBR, can't beat that. Oh, I almost forgot, when you order a shot, expect a rocks glass filled to the brim with your spirit of choice, so make sure to take care of the bartender for that one. Go here.

This dive bar is a place where locals like to come and hang out! They have a pool table and a couple of pinball machines. Be warned, there are strict rules that go with the pool table and they run it as someone "owns" the table and you have to put your name on the board and play the "owner". I did not abide by these rules and was met with hostility by other patrons because of it. That aside, the decor is a little odd with stickers covering most areas. There isn't an incredible amount of seating and they do have a juke box of some sort. Drink prices are ok and it is a cash only place. Not a bad spot to grab a drink with a friend.

If you want a dive, you've got a dive. However, this dive has it's perks. For example, they have pinball machines. It's located right in the Lower Haight, mere doors down from Noc Noc and the Toronado. It's loud, open during the day for a mid-day cheap drink and there's a bit of seating around to take load off. The ceilings are low, and every available space is covered in stickers and graffiti. It can get a bit loud and crowded at night, but that's all part of the fun here.
