Life needs a little balance. Any extreme thinking, positive or negative, will lead to destruction and/or disillusionment. A person cannot have inner peace with extreme thinking, when extreme thinking invokes extreme reactions. The world is made up of a collection of individual persons.

When one takes heartless random 'revenge' on strangers by murdering them, it is a mental health issue. Still, it is imperative to address the bullying issue behind these crazy, senseless crimes. No more hiding from it because we (probably) all feel not having been our kindest at one point or another in the past. We all can benefit from finding and learning some emotional skills in dealing with negative social experiences.

Finally! Yes, Chinese should speak out more often.
It's not easy being Chinese in New Zealand. When were you last asked by a stranger where you were born? For me, it was last week, in a pub, watching the Hurricanes. It occurred to - New Zealand Herald

Family violence can be non-physical and just as devastating. As the victim was quoted in this article, "The constant reminders that I'm useless, that I am no good, I can't do anything right ... I'm stupid -- all on a daily basis. It does not matter how hard I try, it is never good enough for him. The physical abuse is almost better, at least is visible to the eyes."

My mother's plight is over now that she is in heaven. But it is not over for me, because I still suffer from the guilt of not being able to help her, and from being the secondary target of my father. Believe it or not, like other type of bullying, the family may have supporters for his behavior. In my case, not only did I not receive any support from my siblings to intervene, one of them was a staunch supporter for my father's behavior. They always had justifications for his tirades and why my mother deserved it. Or, they would dismiss it as my fussing too much over nothing. Nobody helped, nobody could.

The world needs to know what behavior is not OK. So, men like my father can no longer hide behind ignorance, and no bystanders (family or friends) could be bare-faced enablers.
Today, we hear from a woman who is yet to leave an abusive relationship. The Weekend Herald has provided information to this woman about help available to her and will continue to - New Zealand Herald

It is a tragedy upon tragedy that we don't seize the opportunity to address the issue of bullying.

It's official, smoking is farting. Hahaha...
OK, seriously, stuff the excuses

#stopsmoking #smell #youth #health #quit #advertising #denial #similar #campaign
'The Ontario Health Ministry’s latest ad campaign targets social smokers, equating the silly notion of farting at social events with the idea of casual social smoking. The ad is part of a campaign, called Quit the Denial, which is seeking to target Canadian youth — social smokers age 18 to 29.'

That info I just copied from http://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/toronto/story/2013/03/22/social-smoking-comedy-campaign.html
