Nestled on the banks of the babbling Mudgeeraba Creek in the valley of a sub-tropical rainforest lies a picturesque, private and completely unique wedding venue.  The wedding ceremony is under a big fig tree where there is a large deck and seating for all.  The grounds are great for the wedding photography and filming, you will not need to leave the wedding property.  The reception is truly unique, located in their historic barn which can be styled to evoke any mood, it has soaring ceilings and huge barn doors that can be opened to create an indoor outdoor space or closed for a more intimate feel.  Love it when all the wedding party and guests, never need to run around, just stroll from one location to the next. Brides are getting smarter!  The one great thing about working in the wedding industry is the metamorphosis of planning your wedding venue.  Long gone are the traditional wedding reception held in a hotel conference room with its up lights and white linen table cloths with white chair covers with a matching ribbon to your bridesmaid dresses.  Thankfully we are seeing a huge move towards having your wedding reception in a community hall.  Brides it is a blank canvas, where you can spend more money on the styling instead of the hire of the venue.  Bring in your own caterers, have a burning fire pit for guests to mingle around, stay on the property. The Byron Bay wedding of Thomas and Jade was held on 400 acres at Midginbil Hill, which is an old working cattle farm with some amazing views with a country style barn. They brought in their caterer Francisco’s Table from Byron Bay.  Finally your wedding day is so much more your creation when doing it this way and lets just say a lot cheaper too! Wedding Dress tick, Venue tick, Drone tick!  Yes the drone is becoming a ‘must have’ at weddings.  Personally as a wedding videographer the drone does hold its place in the world of filming but at a wedding I have always had my doubts.  The main reason is that when filming weddings I really want to not be seen or heard and unfortunately Drones do not allow that to happen.  I was recently surprised at how wonderful these shots came out and the impact it makes to the wedding day highlights.  Michelle has a spectacular dress and it needed a birds eye view to truly give it justice.  Films on www.fisheyestudio.com.au/films/

Elopement (marriage) Elopement refers to a marriage conducted in secretive fashion, usually involving a flight to a beautiful destination ‘Intercontinental Sancturary Cove’ with a handful of selected family and friends with the intention to get married.  With Rewat started the day with a private interview.  I kept the camera rolling and left the room so that Rewat could say a few private words to Emily, it is those words that are truly remarkable.  Films on www.fisheyestudio.com.au/blog/
