spends too much time listening to or making music - anything indie, alternative, ambient, folk-rock, triphop, pop, rock.... I also read loads of stuff. Have had to give up TV to fit all of this in.

An instrumental I made 21.1.2018 using Musikalia mandolin/octave mandola and a Minibrute. Text on video says Microtonic, but that's a mistake, no microtonic to hear here.ALSO it's not 'Easter Mandolin Strum' - I've messed up my screen messages. sigh too late now

Easter Mandolin Strum (made Easter sunday 2017) one day I'll make a song out of this...

there's some octave mandola/mandolin on the melodic unison riff, and loads of squiggly Minibrute pretty much all the way through

Mandolin Strum #3 (aka Dminor Hang groove). another bit of strumming and picking that never quite turned into a song.

Another mandolin instrumental thrown together in an afternoon, back in March 2017. I thought I might have come up with some lyrics by now, but nope.

my latest 'toy' is one of these. just need to replace the light seals and I'm good to go. probably B&W for first roll.

A day out at Stiperstones with some chums. nice bright day, but a bit nippy! Followed by nice pub lunch at Horseshoe in, Ratlinghope.

Also got 2 rolls of b&w medium format I shot with a Voigtlander Bessa, which I'll develop when I've finished the 2nd roll.

my album is now live!
Our album of Folk Poetry Ambient is now out there for you to listen to and hopefully enjoy. And possibly buy (no pressure).

We were inspired by the neolithic stone Circle of Avebury and the surrounding landscape – real and unreal. Some bits are real, some bits imagined by ourselves. The bit with the talking crow probably isn’t real.
