Would NEVER book this hotel again. Advertised as in the "French Quarter", when really .8 miles away in the Warehouse District across from a night club that plays music until 4 am. Staff was unattentive and not helpful. The pool area was covered in cockroaches bigger than anything I have ever seen. Marriot use to be my favorite Hotel, but not anymore!!!

Decent hotel to stay at. Friendly staff. Just don't get a room on the same side as that night club!!!

Hotel entrance is great, but the room is just slightly above ok. My room was a long walk from the elevator. Front desk service was professional, but not warm. My room key did not work. Location is fine. RioMar restaurant nearby was a highlight.

This Courtyard is walking distance to bourbon street and the Harrahs casino. It is a little further away from the strip but still very manageable. Overall the rooms were clean and roomy. The front desk was also very helpful and there was always taxis outside of the hotel for your convenience.

Got a great deal off of Priceline for this hotel. They were very accommodating. Left our luggage there to explore the city when we got there before checkout and they were able to switch our room from two queens to a king with the click of a button. Great location - not far to walk to Canal Place or Jackson Square but had some unique stops along the way. We were presently surprised that they have a boutique bowling alley on the walk to the French Quarter called Fulton Alley and we had fun there then walked back to the hotel. The room was very nice - big flat screen, nice amenities, etc. They even sent someone from the bar up to our room to open our beers because we accidentally forgot to buy screw off caps at the market down the street. 10/10 would stay again!

COCKROACH INFESTED POOL AREA + HORRIBLE STAFF! Do not stay here. First and foremost, the internal pool area is COMPLETELY INFESTED WITH COCKROACHES. I'm talking about cockroaches roaming EVERYWHERE at nighttime. I understand that cockroaches happen in city areas, but this was a completely internal pool area and we had our patio door open for hours when we were lounging outside around the pool. There are no screen doors on the patio doors and we were not informed of cockroaches near the pool. For all I know we had cockroaches roaming throughout our room and through our stuff the entire weekend because of the lack of cleanliness. Secondly, the maid stole a personal item from our room. The nature of the item stolen was one that would make us embarrassed to report to hotel management. Nonetheless that is completely unacceptable. Finally, on our way out of the hotel to catch a 6:45am flight, we politely asked the front desk woman if she would call us a cab to the airport. She told us that we 'could hail one on the street or walk to a valet area.' Which is just a polite way of saying 'No, I'm too lazy to call you a cab. Good luck finding one at 5am'. This hotel should not be given any of your business until it is under new management that takes customer service and cleanliness seriously.

Everything about this property was acceptable except for one huge factor. Make sure your room does not face Peters Street. There is a night club across the street that plays deafening music until 3:00 or 4:00 am. The music was so loud that the windows in my room vibrated. The later it got, the more they cranked it up. I laid in bed all night wishing for peace and quiet. When I called the front desk, they offered to bring me ear plugs. No thanks! Then they offered to give me a different room. Move in the middle of night during a one night stay? No thanks. When I checked out, they offered me nothing but an apology. Unacceptable! I should have gotten a gift card for a free night or bonus points. Not one thing! All they could say was, "Well this is New Orleans, you know". But, I wasn't in the French Quarter! I could understand it there, but not 10 blocks away.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Our room was clean and functional. The hotel staff was friendly and helpful. Also, the location was excellent. The pool area was nice, but due to the trees around it, there were flower petals all in it. Not a deal breaker, just hard to keep clean. It's a nice place to stay. We used the streetcar transit a lot. I liked the hotel's proximity to the Julia Street streetcar stop and the Riverwalk Mall.
