$5 French dip sliders during happy hour is a deal. that's about half price. it's only good at the bar area though i believe. This is a great place, I prefer it to philippe's, I think the beef here is tastier and the dip is great. Plus the bar makes great drinks. Only downside, no parking. we've been here a few times, and the only reason it's not 5 stars is that, last night we encountered super bad service. gotta say, when you don't even bring us water or silverware and you gotta use the toothpicks that came with your sandwich to pick up the tater tots to eat, that deserves a 1 star drop. the bartender wasn't busy at all, he was just chatting business ideas with the guy next to us, too busy to help us out.

Went here for the first time with my wife and some friends and I loved it. The wait time was long because we had a party of 6, but it was worth waiting.I ordered the 3 eggs omelette with tomato, chicken apple sausage, and spinach. One the side I got toast and potatoes. The eggs wasn't over cooked or under cooked. They were just right. Egg omelette I was so delicious.

One of two places who claim they created the French Dip. I don't think it actually matters because Cole's French Dip is really flavorful. Cole's has 3 parts to their restaurant - a bar at the front, a diner that is open until the wee hours of the night and a tiny speakeasy at the back of the restaurant. There is little to know wait at the front bar and the diner. The speakeasy gets very crowded on weekend nights so I recommend calling to make a reservation.

This is my favorite spot for French dipped sandwiches. I absolutely love all their sandwhiches. In my opinion, these are better than Philippes. And, the garlic fries are to die for. If you like cognac, you must try the Old Fashions. They are the best!

For a long while this was our Friday after school tradition. I actually prefer these sandwiches to Phillipe's, but I'm not about to join that war. I love both. Literally the best potato salad known to humankind- no exaggeration! Get the bacon potato salad as your side. The hot mustard and pickle are unique. The garlic fries can be intense and berry pie can be a nice treat Pro tip: happy hour is M-F from 3 to 7 PM but all day long on Tuesdays!

Best French Dips ever. I used to work downtown and would eat there regularly. Kinda bummed I haven't been in quite a while, but it's actually worth the trek getting there. Anytime I'm close I try to stop in.

Good food, but slow service and extremely expensive! Make sure you give yourself a hour and bring lots of money!

First it was a cool bar to have nice cocktails during art walk. Then I tried a roast beef dip sandwich and a new chapter began. For real, the meat is so soft and tender. Many options surprisingly so give it a shot.
