I spent much of the day following the advice of our real estate agent by painting our purple bathroom white again. I so much more enjoyed the two shades of purple that were in there but apparently purple has a negative impact on marketability (go figure).

No, I'm not saying where we might end up. There is a job offer that is promising enough to prepare the house to sell but not done enough to make a public statement.

There is something here to make everyone squirm a bit -- liberals and conservatives alike. But it is refreshing.

This is the fifth time that this Peruvian Apple Cactus has bloomed this year. However, it still hasn't fruited this year.

This evening I jumped on Slate, my Sun folding bike, for a quick run to the mailbox down the street. It was only 0.19 miles -- round trip. No, we didn't get any mail. But it was the last ride of the first half of 2018 and I recorded it on my spreadsheet.

The grand total for the first six months of the year is -- 3,215.44 miles (5,175 km). Almost every single one of those miles was ridden in the Laveen village of Phoenix -- no long rides or major excursions. The most miles in a single day was March 9th, when I ended up riding a total of 32.79 miles.

In 2017 I totaled 5,025 miles. If I can stay healthy it looks like I'll better that total in 2018. The point is that all the little excursions can add up to something significant. That will preach.
