There's so much good, actionable information out there. James Altucher, Tim Ferriss, Pat Flynn, Gary Vee, Ramit Sethi, and on it goes.

All of these writers and content creators offer incredible information and the point of it all is to make you think and then take action.

The point is NOT to by a parrot and do and believe exactly what they say. If you do that, you are not choosing yourself. You are choosing THEM.

I've decided what I want to do with my life. Everything. With the technology available to us today, we can do all the things we want to do.

We can write a book, host a podcast, design clothing, record a movie. There are very few limits and barriers to entry.

I am embracing the wanderlust in my brain and doing the things that I want to do. I will write that book, host that podcast, and record that song. I will enjoy the journey and the fact that I can do things that I couldn't do before.

I did the best I could. I gave it everything that I had. I tried my best. These are the things that we tell ourselves when we have failed at something or didn't meet our expectations.

But if we think about it, did we really do our best? Did we really give it everything that we have? In most cases the answer to that is no.

So why do we tell ourselves that we did? This One Man's Monologue looks into why we try to convince ourselves that we did the best that we could when in most cases we really didn't.

Check out the One Man's Monologue Playlist for other videos in the series.

I hear it time and time again. Get out of your comfort zone. Do something that makes you feel uncomfortable and uneasy.

Do we all have to escape our comfort zone or is it OK for some of us to stay in there? How do we know when we are making progress? What do we do when the things that used to make us squeamish no longer do so?

This monologue examines the comfort zone and the growing trend of wanting to break out of it in the name of personal growth.
