I can't decide if Twain or Williams is cuter with their cats.

Preach on, Brother Chris.
Every holiday season, multitudes of charities come out of the woodwork soliciting for donations. The Salvation Army is no exception, armed with their ubiquitous red shield, ringing bell and red bucket of shame, turning every visit to the grocery store into an epic dilemma: do I toss in a few coins or just try to avoid eye contact as long as possible? I'm here to offer you a third way: ignore them with impunity. They don't deserve your money. I kn...

I'm sorry, but it serves these guys right. Of course this was coming. I'm just sorry for the regular folks who are being hurt by this.

Wow, it's weird to see Ross looking so political! But great. Memphis would be lucky to have him.

Why didn't this guy set this up as a print-on-demand book? Then he wouldn't be out of stock.
Chattanoogan Jimmy Moncrief has published a book entitled "Everything Obama Knows About the Economy." The pages are all blank. The Chattanooga TFP Saturday provided a report on this development long enough to fill up several of those blank pages. An excerpt: "I'm not trying to start a revolution," said Moncrief, who identifies himself as a fiscal conservative without a favorite GOP presidential candidate. "I just want to make people laugh." As...

There's something so heartwrenching about the way he says "GrandPAWS" that I just love it so much.
In 2011, it may still be novel for same-sex couples to be not just parents, but grandparents, and surely it will soon be more commonplace. In the meantime, watch as these two dads celebrate the news that they are about to be grandfathers: (HT: Towleroad.)

I love this.
from SAVE The player piano was haunted. No one knew the difference between it and its twin in Sioux City, which had no spirit. Saloons these days still reek of hollowed peanut shells. Still cover puke with sawdust. They play La Paloma of Her Own Volition. The machine rolls, the keys get depressed. Just like that, some drunk in the corner starts singing. Scott Hammer is the author of the poetry chapbook Mock Draw. His writing has appeared in La P...

Otis Jackson, currently on suspension from his job as General Sessions Court Clerk due to the fact that he was indicted back in July, has apparently decided that it would be an admission of guilt NOT to run for re-election to his position. Toward that end, he has pulled and FILED a petition for re-election. My question to Mr. Jackson would be this: Why are you not focusing on preparing for your defense in your trial? In putting up a fight for re...

These people are better than me. I don't think he was sincere. How could a man on that many drugs be?
““I believe that [Baumgartner] was sincere, but he has no idea of public humiliation. My daughter would be mortified if she were still with us by the pictures that were shown in court. I know my wife was.”” - Christian, Newsom families see more trials, tears ahead » Knoxville News Sentinel

What she says about what goes on at Dairy Queen is totally true. It's the only way to stave off DQ depression.
