How To Choose The Right Cosmetic Surgeon?

Unfortunately, many people are unaware of the risks associated with cosmetic surgery and might prioritise surgical bargains over safety.

Ever wondered what are the costs involved in aesthetic surgery and if or when is it covered by health insurance?

As aesthetic surgery grows ever more popular and accessible to Australians, people are naturally asking what procedures, if any, are covered by Medicare and/or their private health insurance.

One of the very first questions that people ask when planning a cosmetic surgery is around the costs, for example, “How much does it cost?” and “What are the out-of-pocket fees?” are amongst the top questions we receive at Breast & Body Clinic

Wow…

When this technology comes into daily practice, it will radically change many breast cancer journeys, with hopefully a lot fewer patients having to undergo the highly stressful return to theatre for re-excision of margins of a tumour, because the pathology showed that not all of it was removed in the first or second operation.

The article mentions that typically between 20-40% of women who undergo a lumpectomy end up needing another operation to get all of the cancer out and sometimes even a third or a fourth operation, although this is unusual I would say.

It is this process that this new promising technology may potentially help with.

And by the way, currently we have another new technological advance which has helped cut the above numbers in half or more and that is the advent of OncoPlastic Breast Conservation procedures, which is what we practice in our clinic.

Not only can you remove cancer and preserve the breast, but you can do it in a good aesthetic way, not disfiguring the breast in the process, whilst also reducing the need for a second or third operation to remove cancer in its entirety.
