It's not real depth of field, and it's a little finicky, but the new post focus feature in the Google camera is an interesting approach.

It's surprised me a bit that a Charleston coffee shop hasn't hooked up with one of the roasters to make this in the "proper" fashion — when done well it's as good or better than any other black coffee style.

Could be a real differentiator in the crowded peninsular market.

Suppose it's time I gave the show a go.

There’s no surer sign that a subculture has entered the mainstream than when it ends up on a TV show, and over the last few years the startup scene has crossed the threshold. We’ve seen a d...

I enjoyed the first episode but then again I'll watch anything that Mike Judge touches.

Don't much care for the sliders, but dig the use of radar graphs to profile brews -- would be sweet for CHS. Perhaps as a print on demand poster.

No, those sliders are indeed a bit awkward. After clicking through (twice) to get to the "View all results" display, the comparison becomes much more interesting.

PC laptop massive cables and convertors have always been a major reason I've used a Mac (and a big reason I continue to — trackpads, I'm looking at you), so this looks pretty great.

Hopefully a manufacturer licenses it, to avoid forcing the consumer to pay an $89 surcharge on the overall laptop price.

"meh" as a portable printer, but for ultra-wide conceptual drawings like blue prints this concept could be amazing.

Surprise: German craft beer can be found at a Stuttgart supermarkt!

Though you can only by chilled singles, go figure.

Yes, but as long as the Reinheitsgebot is still in play, I doubt you'll be seeing a German Dogfish Head anytime soon. :)

Coming to extreme runs soon? Please?

Of course I just want that for the videos, like those great electric shock sections.

I've been watching Damien for years now, and that isn't even close to one of the most impressive things he's done!  That dude is INSANE!

Top notch spot for quality teas, tea ware, and the two shop owners are a great source of tea knowledge. It's one thing to be able to purchase greens, oolongs, black, and Japanese teas, but it's much better to be able to sample those teas and have someone lend a hand in what to taste for and where the tea's differences lie.
